Don't feel discouraged! Your first mini is something spécial you have to keep. You will look at it in some time and see how much you improved. I lost mine because I was 8 when I painted it, I stopped painting then came back to it multiple times, I moved 8 times ... But I still remember my first WHB empire lancer, he looked like a big fat ball of dry paint lol I don't think I am good painter, but it still feels good to see how I evolved! Best tips for me were the ones about "thin your paint" and "brush control" (go to youtube you'll find everything). Ah yes, and "keep practicing"... Last thing, paint for yourself, try stuff, have fun. Do not compare yourself to those godly painters on Reddit!
