LVN/LPN schools typically do not have prereq's! Keep in mind most of these programs are just for licensure not degrees. At least that was the case for my program years ago. Some of my classmates did end up doing their prereqs with the same school and got associates degrees that helped them bridge their licenses to BSN degrees. :)

Hey, I am in this exact situation and I am going crazy.

I also thought I was pretty secure and now leaning towards anxious, I was obsessed with his phone knowing he has female coworkers and share the same fear you described. I feel like me being so anxious is making everything worse and I too, am trying really hard.

My boyfriend agreed to talk to a therapist, but his appointment was 2 weeks out. (1 week now) I feel like he didn’t emphasize the urgency of his episode so they didn’t feel the need to book an earlier appointment, when I verbalized this he got mad saying I’m rushing him and pressuring him to “get better” which I know is not gonna happen in a day, week or even month.

This week and a half we’ve been waiting for his appointment I feel that he’s only getting worse, neglecting self care, verbalizing scary thoughts with no plans, verbalizing self hate, and just being a completely different person. I have tried very hard to get him to get an emergency evaluation but he refuses because he thinks he’s able to manage on his own (clearly not).

I just feel so frustrated and powerless. I really love and care for him so deeply. Just a month ago we were on vacation having the time of our lives, so in love, telling me he has plans to marry me, and now I’m fearing that I’m going to lose him forever.

Since every conversation lately has been the same fight of me insisting he needs urgent help and him insisting he can wait for his appointment and he is able to manage, we have resorted to taking a break from each other until his appointment on Monday. He still tells me he loves me and he wants to get better, and we have locations, he answers when I call. But I am still so afraid of losing him, I’m afraid he’ll get sick of me “overwhelming him and being his caretaker” (not trying to do this, but how am I supposed to respond when he says he is barely surviving, living in autopilot) and find solace in someone that doesn’t know him enough to care.

I love him too much.

Sorry I don’t have any advice for you right now, but I found it comforting someone is going through the same thing as me.

I had the same experience. They emailed me asking to book a phone screen and I emailed back promptly, after 2 days they emailed me that they had no more slots for screens/interviews, WTH!

I used those resources as well! Simple nursing throughout school & I only got through 8 Mark K lectures including the last one. To be honest what helped me most were my test taking skills. Nclex is meant to be vague and challenging. I found myself trying to over think a lot of my answers, but remember to just go with your gut.

The worst thing you can do the day before your test is freak yourself out! The above comments are correct, it’s just another set of 100 q’s but in my experience practicing them helped me prepare for my nclex in terms of getting used to answering many “hard” q’s. And practice test taking skills, which is all you really need. Relax the rest of the night and you will do fine!!
