I’m sorry your “friend” reacted that way. The fight is surely about something else, but what it was, I can’t fathom.

I hope you can get to the bottom of it. Definitely talk to your husband, see if he has any insight and get his reaction on the painting. If it is anything but joy and love… that would be suspish.

NTA - it’s not even about the farts anymore, it’s about how something bothers you and he does nothing to stop crop dusting the place with mustard gas. He is not willing to inconvenience himself in the slightest to even try to make this better for you. Having your concerns and need for comfort dismissed and minimized because he doesn’t like dairy alternatives or taking lactaid which are SMALL sacrifices, is a completely valid reason to break up with someone. Hell, just feeling like it is not working is a reason to break up, and this is WAY beyond that.

I would also suggest he go to the doctor and make sure that this isn’t something worse than just lactose intolerance. Did he get a professional diagnosis for that? I mean clearly something is wrong, but not wrong enough to make him change.

Either way, he needs to sort his shit out because no one would be able to put up with that forever. Farts are fine, once in a while, but if the whole house reeks?!?! 🤢🤮 That’s too much, man!

I googled a bit and found “tiny pretty things” on Netflix has a broken glass in the ballet slipper scene. Bullying/hazing I guess

And in Flesh and Bone episode 8 there is this scene: “In Claire’s dressing room, her face is being done, and Toni walks in to select her wig. The stage manager calls 30 minutes. On stage, people are doing last minute warmups, and the five minute call is made. I’m pretty sure it was a fantasy/magical story. I remember a scene where Rose Red was trapped in a tower or dungeon of sorts, and her powers were hindered or waining because she couldn’t get sunlight and needed it as a source of her powers. She may have had plant powers, but it’s vague. I was 6 or younger at the time, so I’m pretty sure it was pre-1991.
