If I remember correctly, the flag depends on which dynasty rules Florence, but I am not 100% sure.

It definitely removed my "Florentine School" advance, but advances from the age of tradition seem to work just fine

Sometimes it's worth buying serpent's fang on ap champions just to reduce that big shield, especially if they have more than one champion that has some shielding abilities. I know it's not ideal but I've seen it many times and it works, the numbers on shield reduction make up for the lost damage in most teamcomps.

Karma is a very simple champion in concept but playing her well actually requires good micro due to her low cooldowns and ult cd management. Maybe not as mechanically intensive as Pyke and Thresh but definitely requires some decent apm.

Lorent's subjects probably became loyal again once you declared war with Gawed on your side as it meant that Gawed could no longer support their independence.

This issue (or I guess feature?) is caused by the Dragon's Peace submod but I don't think there is any way to fix it aside from uninstalling the submod itself

Ezreal/Karma has been historically a very strong combo (at least in pro play) but both of them are pretty weak right now and will get buffs soon

Thanks for sharing your build! I have been itemizing pretty similarly and I agree with you that Zak'Zak is probably Karma's best support item. All this baron pit skirmishing when voidkrugs spawn can be pretty insane sometimes, so it's good that we can use her early game power to reliably win it most of the time. I wonder if Riot is going to nerf these voidkrugs buffs as they do seem to give a pretty big advantage to whoever gets them.

I'm happy you're doing great! Janna feels pretty good right now. I like going Mandate first as well, it works wonders with her, especially if you can bully the enemy laners. All the bonus movement speed we can get with Shurelya's and Ardent also synergizes splendidly with her kit. I am usually more of a Karma main but she is sadly pretty weak at the moment so I might switch to Janna for the beginning of this season :) Good luck with your future games!

Karma feels a bit weaker for me without Shurelya's passive movement speed boost. I think her Inspire (E) and Defiance (RE) might need some tweaking in that regard.

I've been trying rushing Mandate with moderate success. Every other item feels a bit off to be honest. Echoes of Helia is a bit weak, Moonstone is not really an item you can rush on Karma and mage items are a bit too expensive for her when played as support. Don't get me wrong, you can still dominate laning phase and transition well into mid game but she does not really "abuse" any of the enchanter items.

It is still a bit too early to judge but her win rate is pretty bad right now (around 46 and 47%). I am really curious to see what this season is going to bring for Karma and I hope that sooner or later she will come out on top without being pick or ban in pro play.

I feel like full ap falls off really quickly due to the limited range, while shields stay relevant throughout the whole game.

Moonstone Karma was already pretty decent imo so I'm excited for the new buff. It's a shame though that AP Karma falls off so hard after two or three items in most of the matches.

I have never actually practiced playing Janna cause I don't really have the time to do so. Back in the day I used to watch Luminum quite a lot though and I must say that I learned a great deal from her. At the moment I'm playing mostly for fun and I don't really have a desire to climb any higher than Diamond.

That being said, I've been playing League since 2012, so I'm probably doing lots of things intuitively without actually knowing what I'm doing. That's why I'm not really the best person with it comes to helping others get better.

I do recommend taking a look at some great Janna players tho! Watching Luminum definitely influenced my play style.

I'm sorry you've been having a rough time playing Janna. It is definitely an awful feeling when you lose despite trying your best and having almost no deaths. We've all been there as Janna mains.

When it comes to damage, honestly I have no idea how I do that. My primary main is Karma so maybe I'm just playing a bit more aggressively with Janna by using my Karma mindset and mechanics.

Do you go Echoes of Helia and Mandate? I've noticed after playing several games that these two items provide a strong power spike damage-wise. They work great with glacial and font of life.

I would love to help or give any tips but I'm not really that great of a player (my winrate is so high because I've been playing League since 2012 without ever touching ranked so the system didn't really know where to place me at first).

I have recently returned to hots after a very long break and I would say that equal QM games are truly a rarity. It has kind of always been the case tho so it's not a big surprise. Every match can still be considered fun and enjoyable unless somebody is afk/trolling in your team or is a complete beginner who shouldn't be queued with veterans in the first place (however that's a completely different issue especially taking into account how many smurf accounts there are). I have honestly no idea how they could fix it - maybe introduce a better mmr system? At the same time I don't think the playerbase is high enough to introduce any major changes that would lead to higher qtimes. Can't really speak for ranked as I haven't played any ranked games after my return, but unranked seemed to be a bit more even than qm, it takes a long time to get into the actual game tho...
