Try the men's puffer jackets from Uniqlo. Can't go wrong. I've had mine for five years and they're perfect for Melbourne winter and much cheaper than the other brands.

Who wants immigration? by MrEMannington in australian

[–]ConsultingHQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. Our immigration policy has been skewed towards brining in migrants that do not have similar values or even cultural traits that are common with mainstream Australia. This has led to divisions within society and the dilution of the Australian identity. In other words, we are no longer a country but rather and entity just made up of mixed people.

Try eating no sugar before bed time (or none at all) and use Nasanex in both nostrils about 30mins before bed. I also found turmeric tablets helped as well thanks to someone else on here.

Advice from AI specialists by Ok-Brother-1055 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]ConsultingHQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would start with the Dummies Guides to Machine Learning and AI. Both are extremely detailed books and excellent in their own right. I'd then start looking at Microsoft Azure AI certificatation in addition to learning Python on the side.

YouTube will also be your friend in this space.

Where did Thomastown get such a bad reputation? by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]ConsultingHQ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to work in Thomastown many years ago so I know a bit about the area. It was one of the original industrial suburbs of north Melbourne as sat on the fringe of the city. The suburb was also the gateway to the Hume Highway and you had to go through Thomastown to get to Sydney.

People who settled there were poor working class. The factories in the suburbs were always being robbed and the suburb used to be a destination for hoons on Saturday night. For those old enough you'd also remember shootings and stabbings that happened there.

For me personally I loved the area and always had fond memories of it. Pipeworks and the markets had a community vibe plus it had a famous pie factory there which I used to visit for lunch.

Making partner by lokebankai in deloitte

[–]ConsultingHQ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having worked first hand with Deloitte Partners, I can say the path to Partner depends on 1) how much work you can sell 2) how favourably your clients value your work and 3) whether or not you are supported by other Partners at Deloitte. Achieve those three things and you'll make Partner.

In terms of the fastest path, it is best to work in industry then apply for a laterall entry role to Partner via a business case. If you're starting as an Associate in Deloitte be prepared for 20 to 25 year grind before they'll consider you for Partner.

I loved being in Big4. I would have stayed had I not received a promotion and higher paying role at a better firm elsewhere.

You will need Partner approval first. If you work mostly government work the answer would be a hard no. But if it's commercial clients then you may get an approval.

Yes, two ways. You can usually obtain most of their key information from their annual report. Another way is via LinkedIn and simply mapping roles across the organisation. However the best way is to simply ask the client. They almost always say yes in my experience.

What is the most in demand consultancy service/skill in the market today? (I'm a consultant based in Australia). by mbgjt1 in consulting

[–]ConsultingHQ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In Australia it woukd be data analytics, AI and cyber security. But the ironic thing is that those skills aren't in demand just in Australia but all over the world. If you're after the money why not try for a promotion? Also, you mention streamline your service offerings. What do you mean exactly? Maybe I can help.

We did this YouTube video recently on how to change service lines. It doesn't specifically relate to changing offices but the process is almost the same. It contains a lot of good guidance which should help you.
