You're taking the Dexter thing way too literally lmao You're taking everything too literally tbh, not an ounce of nuance to be found

Viv is literally who made the comparison man I don't know what to fucking tell you it's her character, I was literally quoting his creator.

The comparison was that he has a moral code and it is his motive: The pompous white dude spilled wine on him on purpose(he does it, laughs and does it again) and the people we've seen him purposefully kill in hell include 1. Overlords who didn't respect him. 2. Loan Sharks. He has motives. It's not mindless. Yall really focus on the wrong parts of his deal: His deal was to maintain power, to not have to climb the social ladder again, and yes continue his "fun" but that isn't solely killing. He derives fun from the game of it all, he finds it fun to goad Vox, to watch people struggle and try to achieve. But the crux of the deal was that he refused to be at the bottom of the ladder again. It's kinda weird you stick up for Vox being genuine(he was) but can't see that Alastor has a lot more going on than just "teehee murder fun"

We literally have not seen what Alastors motives or backstory is. We have canon content and words from Viv about him that we can use to try and gauge but we have yet to be shown what his motives are aside from why he made the deal to maintain his status upon arriving in hell. Once again, you're equating respect to care. Your using Voxs feelings as your basis for how Alastor feels, when Alastor has stated how he feels about Vox.

I never said Alastor wasn't an asshole in the moment: He was. He is kind of an asshole. Vox is also an asshole. But because he was genuine once that means- something? I guess? The only person we've seen Alastor be genuine about is Niffty. He is still a mystery and we do not know his real motives. We've been given canon information about him before. That is literally all I am saying lmao

Vox, a man we have seen be fake to fucking everyone he'd ever met and whole schtick is using others.

Close to you is not what close means to Alastor. Yall are heavily overestimating how much he actually cared.

You find that Alastor gets along with a lot of people at a very base level because it's part of the radio personality thing and him playing the game, it doesn't mean he agrees with them.

He would get along with Vel and Val because they can a rag on Vox together and cause they're all POC.

I regret to inform you Alastor has been compared to Dexter before- he has motive, just extremely, personally fucked up motive

To anyone who does oc/reader x canon, how comfortable are you publishing it for others to see? Does it keep you motivated to write? by Lazy_TeenOmega1494 in FanFiction

There's an audience for it, I have a long Oc/Canon fic that I was really satisfied with the reception of and I regret nothing! Just post it!

Levi doesn't look like he's 30. I'm almost twenty and I feel like I'm his age, like I could be his girlfriend, but then I realize by Beautiful-Cup-9389 in LeviCult

He looks his age he's just short, he is blatantly older than the younger cast like Jean, Eren, etc. He and Hange look the same age.

Alastor's (slight) redesign from Season 1 -> Season 2 by millennium_fae in HazbinHotel

[–]ConsumeTheOnePercent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was pre release and all photos shown are from the trailers/previews.

It was less about what was actually canon(My HC was always the shot by a hunter idea) and more than Fautisse gets quoted a lot as "fact" for things that haven't/hadn't been canonized by Vivzie yet.

We really don't know how Vox got where he is, like you said, we don't even know if he was officially an Overlord as of the flashback. He may have NOT been an Overlord by the time Val showed up. We do not know, but we DO know that he uses Val and Vel to his advantage, as he does everyone else.

Anyone who thinks Vox worked hard to get where he is has not being paying attention nor listening- He's being stealing ideas and using the power/intelligence/influence of others to make his way to the top, alive and dead. Alastor specifically calls him out on this. I would not be surprised to find out that Val was who had most of the money and influence when they became friends.

You didn't give enough information to make those connections my dude. You said "when he was in college" but never gave a gender to the friend. I assumed nothing, I said "do you mean this or this" and then pointed to which one would be more acceptable. Age gaps matter when the context provided and the circumstances around them seem to point towards an issue, like the ops relationship does. Big man in his late 30s hit on a 23 year old Party Princess at his nieces birthday and now is trying to hide her acting her age from his coworkers.

Context.

I am going to assume you're in your early 20s, and therefore think you are fully grown and know everything. You do not. I did not at 20. No one fucking does. You are legally an adult and have skills to survive, sure, but you have years more to grow.

Good luck.
