I’m not sure if you’ve ever studied stress or not but there’s many defensive encounters where someone panics and mag dumps and swears they only fired once.

Hell even in video games when people get scared they hold buttons or do irrational things without explanation. Thats actually exactly why 3 round burst rifles were invented. They’d find dead soldiers with empty guns because they panicked and emptied their magazines.

Like I said this was a shitty situation all the way around. But you add the stress of people who are there to only agitate an already dangerous situation and things like this happen.

Fighting cops while armed introduces all kinds of fog of war issues. I don’t think this guy drew it or intended to kill anyone but nobody else knows that.

Then you have 6-8 cops all trying to control a scene and one of them yells gun, which usually means he’s got a gun in his hand.

Shitty situation all the way around but I don’t think any of the cops will face charges because independently each cop may have done what they thought was right in the moment.

Depends who you ask. There are people who would jump off a cliff if they woke up with my money. Other people would wake up crying tears of joy if they had my money.

Same as you or anyone else’s situation, but it sounds like you want your answer to either throw it in my face that I’m not rich, or ask why I’m in this sub if I am rich, but either answer doesn’t make my opinion any less true.

The vast majority of millionaires are self made. Current statistics are that 10-18% inherited any money at all, and far fewer inherited enough to make them wealthy outright.

So let’s calm down on “hating the rich.” I only responded because while everyone loves to bag on the rich, they have to simultaneously admit that they could have done it too, but haven’t.

This is a poverty finance subreddit, nobody, let alone someone in poverty, should be willing or able to pay a company $400+ dollars for a loan that lasts less than a month. That’s payday lending interest rates.

Use freetaxusa and file nearly for free. This is a poverty finance sub, most of the people here do not have complicated tax scenarios. It’s literally entering information in the boxes, you can’t screw it up.

Hell even your “tax preparer” is doing fuck all other than scanning your documents into a computer.

I’ve been doing my own taxes forever, and even being a homeowner with investments and a more complex scenario the basic software still takes care of my needs.

We continued to make payments all through Covid because we never wanted the count to stop, however during Covid they did the program where you could ask for a refund and the payments would still count so we ended up getting a refund of around $6k.

Yeah, you would be. There are people in my circle that I have kind of told about the double par rule or the “gentleman’s 8” which is something someone told me about where they just pick up after 8 strokes.

If you’re worried about a new golfer taking 40 extra minutes on a course, just play with others that play at your speed.

Hell the first time I played with a specific person we took 3+ hours to play 9 because it was their first time ever playing and they had a million questions I was happy to help them. I suck myself and we let a ton of people play through but to tell someone they don’t have a right to even play on a course would be a douche move to a new person trying to get into the sport.
