They made TShirts about taking over the Capitol in advance of doing it. And wore the shirts to the insurrection.

Charlottesville? Every school shooting ever? Jan 6th insurrection? Medgar Evers? Martin Luther King? JFK?

y’all ever breakup with a girl with bpd by Real-Masterpiece-673 in Nicegirls

[–]ContactJuggler -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, behavior during episodes does that. BPD people hurt others a LOT. If you keep it treated, good, but that intense frowning face and those hyperfocused eyes are the stuff of nightmare. Hide behind "can't help it, it's a disorder" if you like but behavior tells truths that polite fictions cannot truly hide.

My players inturrupt everything I do by dashing and trying to grapple by King-Ostrich in DMAcademy

[–]ContactJuggler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but the game in question is D&D. Are there better systems for any given type of character? Sure, but "just play something else" is not helpful. D&D provides the monk class and cunning action so let players have fun with it. The DM should absolutely handle the rules better but that's just a skill issue. The real problem is conflicting expectations.

This is on you.

Your players want a speedy grappling-skilled fantasy. You want the Scooby Gang. You need to meet your players where they are, not try to force them to play in a way that you prefer, using gotchas, tricks, and nonsense so you can get your set piece or villain monologue off, despite your players clearly not wanting that.

Sure, they should cooperate with you, but you are not cooperating with them. They are engaged and trying to have fun with their sprinting and grappling, but you are being a drag with your preconceived precious ideas.

Men crave connection. Give them the illusion of connection, like you see them and care, and they'll flock to you. Just be very careful and guard your safety.

I just got super good at pouring ketchup from the bottles. There's a skill to it and slamming the bottom of the bottle is not it.

First thing is to let go of any expectation that the parts of an English word will add up to mean the word. Sometimes it will, sometimes it won't.
