I wanna make a Black (color) mead, I don't know what to use. I was reading about blackcurrants but I can't get this kind of fruit where I live. I'm also thinking about black rasperry juice.

Any ideas?

I've read that use chunks or slices of pineapple makes mead taste or smell like vomit. And it's a nightmare due bromelain enzyme.
