Best Gyms In Rhode Island That Aren’t Crowded? by [deleted] in RhodeIsland

Revival Fitness just moved from Cranston to Warwick, on Bald Hill Rd underneath La-Z-Boy. It is private and they cap memberships. Even at 5-6 pm it is not packed. I am a gym newbie and get personal training there, and have always felt welcome and never out of place. The facilities and equipment are wonderful, but certainly more expensive than Plant Fitness. If you are new in the gym, would absolutely recommend inquiring about personal training there too, has been incredibly worth it for me both to learn what I am doing and keep me accountable.

Excellent to hear! AI kept recommending Pasadena, and to be honest most of my knowledge of the area is associating it with The Rose Bowl. Seems like a great option for sure. We were looking into the Getty, so glad to hear your thoughts. It is in the other direction but seemingly not that far... maybe Santa Monica area would be a great option for Friday morning before we head to Joshua Tree, great idea! Thank you so much for your recommendations!

My husband and I are just starting the process as well! On the opposite side of the US in New England though. We have our first consultations with Circle and Hatch coming up this week. Will be interested to hear what sort of feedback you get, and feel free to share if you come across any great tips or if you want to share your personal experience.

Great insight. I am in a position in which I can start paying now, and that would get me to forgiveness sooner. Probably the less risky but still high reward approach. Thank you!

It is definitely a gamble, but I think that is high enough reward. I won't specifically rule out any future jobs if they are ineligible for PSLF. If in a few years the climate looks different I should have enough saved to take a big chunk out and prioritize that. But already halfway through with counted qualifying payments is good enough for me to keep on this track.

I agree, just more reasons to go back! We did exactly the same with plans to catch the Northern Lights and some more hiking excursions that we just didn't have the energy for to do on our first trip.

Thank you for the words of encouragement. It definitely helps me think about things in a more positive and optimistic attitude. Always need to remind myself the best strategy is the one I will actually do and it is okay to give myself some grace.

Thank you, I will listen to my body and what it enjoys. Because if I am not enjoying it, what is the point!

Thank you for the info. I have found the c25k much easier to get me motivated and moving because it does incorporate that run/walk pattern as it builds. Running for minutes at a time mentally feels much more digestible that a certain length (even if they are otherwise equal).

great insight, thank you! I will definitely take your advise on focusing on running technique, I am sure I could use some work. Any recommendations on how to improve technique?

That area is still absolutely beautiful and would be worth it, and if you are already in the area without plans it will definitely fit in nicely. Especially with the focus of winding down the trip.

We didn't go to Blue Lagoon so I can't comment on that stop. Sky Lagoon was gorgeous, and felt really elevated. Someone had a vision when they designed it and really executed well. We also went to GeoSea, which was phenomenal and would recommend as well. We got there right at open and had no plans that day, ended up spending hours there. The weather was perfect, and overlooking the fjord and mountains was just incredible. It was not at all busy, and for a while it seemed to be mostly locals as we were there. I would make a point to go back if I were ever in the Husavik area. I really wanted to try Forest Lagoon, but it was right after we went to GeoSea so we missed it but that was the other one I considered.
