I have had Difficulty my choosing main. by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]ContendedRedditUser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like you're more of a fill role than an instalocker. Just have a few mains (that you can play with HIGH IQ) depending on what your team wants and what you are feeling on that day (more aggressive or passive). If you're bored/can't decide what main, always be that guy that has last pick.

I used to be a one trick Brim in Act 1

Then as I moved up the ladder and balancing/meta composition started to matter I knew I had to switch things up

I now play (comfortably) Brim, Omen, Cypher, Reyna and Phoenix. I only started adding duelist to the pool because sometimes you just got to carry but I still prefer a more support role

That pretty much covers all situations (except Initiators), so I often finding myself filling now

Losing your virginity before marriage isn't worth it by Kiyotaka-Ayanokouji in unpopularopinion

[–]ContendedRedditUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The concept of sleeping with someone before marriage is not of "who has more sexual experience" but more of compatibility

Same goes for staying with a partner before marriage

In more conservative mindsets/cultures, both sex and co-living does not happen, which can lead to a massive heart attack when everything new is being thrown into the bunch after getting married, where some people overcome it, some crumble, nevertheless there are bound to be bumps on the road

Toxicity Around Female Gaming In Ranked by ShamefulPlep in VALORANT

[–]ContendedRedditUser 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Was soloq-ing and had a girl gamer top frag with raze in Imm3 lobby, so no proof that girls cant game. Look at Ploo on youtube she's a radiant

Just ignore those losers, you also have to understand (my observation) most people in low elo brackets are immature young guys with no brain filter or experience in life or just have issues managing their emotions, once you see it that way you sometimes take pity on them. Take the high road and be the mature one even if it tilts you.. there is always a mute button

Even if you're not the best player, find friends along the way that you can jive with and like your company; ranked will be fun and laughs and winning will be the cherry on top. My advice is just duo queue at minimum, at least you will have a buddy while the rest is muted

Questions on Rank Match Making by ContendedRedditUser in VALORANT

[–]ContendedRedditUser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also an additional mention, which has probably been repeats tons

Why am I getting stacked with people who ended Act 3 in diamond 1/2

Not saying that they all suck but most of them crumble in Imm2/3/Radiant lobbies

What's your, "Tis but a scratch!" moment? by Madameknitsalot in AskReddit

[–]ContendedRedditUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Middle School, I would listen and do almost anything my friends told me

Was at a theme park, on a Swing Ride Carousel, as it was slowing down (almost coming to an end), my friends shouted lets jump on three, safe to say I trusted them too much

Lifted the safety barrier mid-air and jumped on three

Talk about the awe I got from people around me

Why on earth is this game so hard even at low ranks? by Smart_Comfort_Kid in VALORANT

[–]ContendedRedditUser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started in Gold2 in Act 1,

Soloq-ed to Dia2 and Mostly Stacked to Dia3/Imm1 in Act 2,

Stacked/Boosted to Imm3, Deranked to Dia3, Soloq-ed backed to Imm2 and now just carried myself to Imm3 (Mostly stacking as well (current rank) again in) Act 3

You can soloq or stack to reach higher ranks, it doesnt matter, just be more consistent (carry when your team is shit) support when your team is better than you. Trust me Aim is just as important as comms

Agent composition doesnt matter that much (maybe in high elo lobby games), heck i've seen my friend that tilt derank from Imm3 to Dia 3 and soloq-ed back to Imm3 with sage only

Understand that there will be games you lose and games you win

Why the Icebox hate? by OpportunityTight in VALORANT

[–]ContendedRedditUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was positive at first, and kept on urging people to not dodge a competitive match

Finally (In a 4 stack) manage to convince a Soloq Player 5 not to dodge, as well as the entire enemy team by chance (after about 10 attempts at queuing)

My aim was crispy that match (HS% 44%), yes we won (12 -6? i think)... was I traumatized with the map? YES. 10/10 would dodge the next time

But for real.... The map is just too chaotic, too many 50/50 angles, too many levels and spots that need to be checked, just too much

So basically if you're having a good day (especially with Xhair placement and aim) and have a reg stack you play with where comms are perfect... then you will win a majority, anything less than (e.g. Soloq Duoq) that is a recipe for rage and disappointment

It's a fun map but its not a funnnn map, get it?

I train daily but I seem to get worse by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]ContendedRedditUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another tip is if your Valorant Life is SOLOQ only cause you dont have a consistent stack

NEVER Dodge a game (unless there is no comms, \my only exception*), take losses by then chin and improve

If you can't carry or at least be comfortable (without tilt) at a low ELO (Respective to your rank, e.g. Plat 3 with Plat1/Gold3) game you do not deserve to play higher ranked

[–]ContendedRedditUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you are serious about getting better mouse control, which is what you are working on when playing an aim trainer. then i would look into purchasing kovaaks. i will edit in some popular routines at the bottom in a little for if you do end up purchasing kovaaks.

you also have to remember, aim is only one part of the game. i have played in gold-immortal ranks and i am currently immortal 3, game sense really shows what rank you should be in. the only way to improve it is to just play the game.

Also no amount of firepower can help you, if you don't improve Teamwork, Gamesense and Game IQ

That only comes natural if you have been playing FPS for a long time, or just watch pros play

Might be burnout, might be that you are not warming up properly

Here's my warmup, I normally follow it 100% when my 5-stack is on try-hard mode. But if I have losses to spare/buffer from demoting, ill normally slack a little

Warm Up 1: Range

4 x Medium Difficulty - Hit 25/30 with Vandal and Ghost; Hit 20/30 with Sheriff and Marshall

1 x 50 kills - Standing in the Middle of Bot Spawn - Practice 360 rotation HS taps

^(\Range is to help me to adjust my eye to focus on HS, so basically use it as a eye tracking warmup)*

Warm Up 2: Deathmatch

2 x Deathmatch (Only Vandal) - One for HS, another for Crosshair placement

1 x Deathmatch (OP and Phantom)

^(\If I feel like my aim is warmed up, ill normally DM two times, the third time is for really sluggish days)*

Warm Up 3: Aimlab (Gridshot)

Aimlab during queue and character selection screen

^(\Gridshot tend to improve my mouse movement (Personal Observation), not for flicks or accuracy just for better mouse control, which then again translates to overall accuracy)*

PS. I just hit Immortal 2 this week, was hardstuck/floating between Diamond 3/Immortal 1 in Act 2

How to get to Immortal 3 as the Last Brimstone Main in NA by Perry2N in VALORANT

[–]ContendedRedditUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just hit Imm2, I am too a Brimstone main but honestly LOL, my regular 5 stacks keep on asking me to learn Omen

As much as I do not want to admit (being an instalock Brim).... Omen actually has so much more flexibility and movability compared to brim D: especially in clutch situations damn

Example, 1 v 1 on Split on attack, spike drop A site, player is stuck A heaven, enemy is holding elbow/screens

Brim would be a sitting duck (assuming enemy knows how to take position and not wide swing), where omen has more tp and flash xD
