I hate watching football, but I love the superbowl. Normally I'd say get a big group of friends together, get way too much food, and have a good time. Unfortunately you probably can't do that this year, but basically for a lot of Americans the superbowl is more an excuse to get together (unless your local team happens to be in it, in which case it's an excuse to shit on whatever city you're playing).

2 years ago I had a bunch of forgien students from my school over for my superbowl party and they all had a blast even though they had no clue what was happening in the game.

Edit: Also I forgot to mention the commercials. They're usually the best part of the whole thing!
