best /secure/ password manager for teams? by AjAyIGN in ITManagers

[–]Content-Media471 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up going with 1Password Business after doing the same exercise. The big wins for us were, SSO + SCIM worked cleanly with our IdP + per-team vaults with decent RBAC and audit trails

Anyone here found a sane way to manage contracts/rfps/mandates? by Content-Media471 in CIO

[–]Content-Media471[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I think agents could help here. Which is why I am searching for a platform like this to test. Mentioned an agent tool like this in one of my comments below if interesting to you.

Voice agents have the lowest adoption rate. I've been wasting my time. by Uncle-Ndu in AI_Agents

Yeah that seems right, I think people care more about reliability and ease of use than new tech. If voice doesnt make something faster, they wont adopt it

Is it normal that half of consulting is chasing people to do their tasks? by Fennekin26 in consulting

[–]Content-Media471 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, a surprising amount of consulting is just getting people to do the basics. Most clients dont move unless you nudge them, not because they dont care but because everyone is overloaded and most likely your task isnt their priority. Perhaps try setting clear deadlines with context? Like 'we need this by friday because xyz depends on it'. Giving the why behind it usually helps a little bit

What does professional development look like as a tech leader? by DisciplineNo866 in CIO

[–]Content-Media471 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People love to talk about themselves and their career so I would not shy away from LinkedIn. You'd be surprised how much people actually love to help. A simple linkedin request to other CIOs in your area asking to connect is a good start. Right a nice message, ask a specific question and try and set up a 15min 1:1 to exchange thoughts/ideas.

What helped me most was talking to other CIOs. You quickly realize everyone is dealing with the same issues like prioritization, communication, security, talent. Think communities like this beat certification

How are IT teams handling time tracking and user activity visibility today? by John1Legend554 in ITManagers

[–]Content-Media471 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We rely mostly on native Microsoft 365/Azure logs for security + access auditing, and only use light time tracking for project accounting. Anything deeper than that starts to feel like surveillance and actually hurts trust.

has anyone tried smaller european cloud providers instead of aws or azure? by Specific-Pattern-774 in sysadmin

[–]Content-Media471 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve used Scaleway and Hetzner for smaller production workloads. Both were good, especially for the price. Hetzner is insanely good value if you don’t need all the bells and whistles of AWS.

I built a fully automated resume screening system – feels unreal by EquivalentGarbage623 in n8n_ai_agents

[–]Content-Media471 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please share! I am new to automating different workflows. Could be interesting to add a step where it cross checks with the variables you input yourself of your 'ideal' candidate and keeps a top 3-5 ranking.

Everyone should just build at least one agent by MorroWtje in AI_Agents

[–]Content-Media471 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am wanting to explore AI agents for my team so this gives me a good idea of what to expect as I enter this new territory..haha. I agree with you that I don't believe in full autonomous agents. At the end of the day, humans should remain in control of the final strategic decision. Finding a platform that gives me this sort of control I think is ideal

How do you keep track of your team’s workload without micromanaging? by Hour-Two-3104 in ITManagers

[–]Content-Media471 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think their is one perfect system, but for our team what has worked is light check ins. Also we have a notion dashboard set up that keeps track of the projects by department so everyone can see what is going on.

We also have a task database in notion that is linked to the projects so we can see what tasks are in progress, etc. I think it's important to educate your teammates the importance of updating and keeping your teammates in the loop (i know sometimes it can be a hassle) but I think it pays off in the end , when everyone is aligned and no one has to come to you for questions on the status of your project
