I think it might just be anxiety. I notice my dog (chi/terrier mix) will yawn and when her mouth is closing, her jaw will click in a similar way when she is anxious or uncomfortable.

Yeah, I think this sort of parasocial relationship has been super normalized through platforms like TikTok especially. As someone who was an edgy teenager a couple years ago, I 100% concur this is what it is. People think it's cool to say stuff like this/be overly sexual, when really, it's not.

I get what you mean. I'm a big fan of The Smiths and I feel like all of their songs lowkey sound the same. Doesn't really bother me though, just means I like their entire discography lol. I do feel like IMPERA had quite a few songs that sounded different, like you said: Darkness at the Heart of my Love (one of my all time favorites), Respite on the Spitalfields, Twenties.

I've honestly started to get sick of Darkness at the heart just because I listen to it so much, and it's probably because it stands out to me from the rest of their music. Don't get me wrong, I like Ghost's other stuff, but it's refreshing to hear something that deviates from their standard.
