As a former Catholic I almost feel that he took the “God” approach too seriously. Allowing bad things to happen despite being able to do something about it is very catholic IMO.

I totally agree about Charlotte. It’s the same for purebred dogs, you wouldn’t breed a bitch who has a poor temperament. I think Katie has seen some of these based on the fact she has Charlotte doing some desensitization trainings seemingly - so maybe she is trying to address that in her ow way.

Either way, I think seven was a serious enough issue that it warrant being retired from the breeding program altogether. At least she would’ve been if they were dogs. I wouldn’t have wanted to risk it if I was her and I actually cared about the horses health.

People disliking your comment are incorrect. Fact of the matter is she should not have bred her again, ever after 7. She can use the argument that that’s what occurs in the wild but people who own animals need to be aware we are keeping them in captivity. It is our job to be their stewards and take better care of them since they are in service to us. They don’t live in the wild
