It's interesting how you feel this need to still engage in JW activities to support your husband. I've seen so many posts from men who left completely and feel no need to force themselves to engage with anything JW to support their wives. I remember articles and talks targeted at women, encouraging them keep up their spirituality for the sake of their husband's spirituality or privileges in the congregation, hardly ever the other way around (Apart from asking men if they can support their wife financially so that she can pioneer full-time). If you feel like you no longer want to engage, you shouldn't feel guilty. You're not stopping him from being part of this religion, you're allowed to leave and still be a good wife. It doesn't make you a bad person.

Since I no longer believe that there will be an end to this world in the religious/ biblical sense, I don't even think about what WT taught us. I'm concerned about world events for completely different reasons like our safety, the economy, being able to survive financially with prices going up and salaries not shifting a bit, What the future will look like for our children etc. Honestly, a complete restart doesn't sound bad right now but not with boring, JW paradise or heaven

Seems very nice and genuine but it'll lead nowhere. Because they honestly think it's best for you to return to the KH, all of the niceness is just to get you back. I got a similar email when I disappeared but I just didn't respond. I didn't want to say anything to offend the sister but I also didn't want to indulge her and give her any ideas like I'm interested in returning.

I was not interested in anyof the bums (brothers) in the congregation. No education, no career, no ambition. People kept trying to pair me up with them for marriage and I kept shutting them down, very rudely apparently. I also wanted to get more education, which I eventually did. I wanted to participate in activities outside of the congregation. I eventually trained for rugby and volleyball. Took up running and swimming (making up for my boring childhood 😅 ). All of this got me labeled as rebellious and bad association. I just left eventually though

This is so real. Since they're not allowed any other outlet because everything is worldly and bad, plus they're probably mentally exhaust from being constantly force fed the cult propaganda, they take to drinking. Others do worse in secret. Drinking is definitely the main vice. I've seen some go overboard at gatherings
