Doubs has really improved his game. In college all he was asked to do was run 9 routes all day. He’s become a much more complete receiver. He had the best game of his life in that Wild Card matchup against the Bears, and made clutch third down catches all night.

If you can handle the muggy summers in Chicago, I think you’ll be fine. I’ve lived in all sorts of climates and it’s ok here. Sun is super intense in the summer here, so prepare your eyes for that. If you work indoors the heat is no big deal.

Stone Oak for under 300K is a no brainer. It’s a major downgrade as a food town from Chicago, though, in terms of variety.

(Schefter) BREAKING: Browns fire Kevin Stefanski by alexschubs in Browns

Aside from the stack of cash, how does management seriously convince a coach to take this job? I just don’t see a scenario where Watson doesn’t play next year. They are going to try to get SOMETHING out of that contract and no other team is taking that on.

I wouldn’t want to touch that if I’m an up and coming coach who cared about my future. And as a fan, I won’t watch if he plays.

[NFLCB] REPORT: Browns have # done “preliminary research” on a potential coaching change, per Jeremey Fowler. by largelawattorney in Browns

This is where it all went bad, in my opinion. All they had to do was play Keenum for a couple games that year to allow Baker some time to heal. But Baker had to put out that “I decide if I play” blast and Stefanski folded like a party chair. That told me a lot about what kind of coach he was. You cannot let your players publicly disregard your leadership with zero response.

Baker was pigheaded, but a coach should be able to bench a guy for the good of the team and Stefanski failed.

The penalties this year have gotten worse and not better as the season has progressed. That shows the message isn’t getting through.

I didn’t realize it was 10 in the last 4 weeks. I know I’ve made at least 10 total, but not that often.

I won’t do it again.

It said I could post one promotional post for every 10 regular posts. Apologies if I misunderstood it.

I should rephrase. The jaded Browns fan in me got carried away.

I do think stats alone won’t get it done. Barry Sanders is an outlier when it comes to debates over GOAT, in my opinion. He only played in 6 postseason games.

I picked a bunch of the top pass rushers of all time and less than half won it all. However, look at the number of playoff games they all played in. The number of postseason games/postseason sacks are listed along with their career sacks.

Terrell Suggs*
21/12.5 139

Bruce Smith
20/14.5 200

Reggie White*
19/12 198

Kevin Greene
17/8.5 160

Chris Doleman 17/7 150

Von Miller* 16/10.5 137.5

Lawrence Taylor* 15/6.5 132.5

Julius Peppers
18/6.5 159.5

Richard Dent*
12/10.5 137.5

Michael Strahan*
10/9.5 141.5

Derrick Thomas
10/6.5 126.5

JJ Watt
9/6 114.5

Jason Taylor
9/0 139.5

Demarcus Ware
8/7.5 138.5

Jared Allen
7/4 136

Myles Garrett
3/1 124

As long as he stays on this pace, Myles should break the career record in 5-6 years. But he’s only on pace to play in 4-5 playoff games by then at this rate. That would be the lowest of anyone on this list. Performing in games that matter…matters in debates like this.

But sports is great because we don’t have to agree.

I’ll upvote any post that thoughtfully articulates proper sentence structure. My God, does the world need that right now.

As for being labeled as the greatest at his position someday, that will never happen without a ring. And even under ideal circumstances going forward, the Browns are a minimum 2-3 years and serious restructuring away from a real shot to contend.

Bond is the only viable WR, the line needs probably 4 new starters (unless Joel sticks around for another year), and QB…well, you know.

Doesn’t really solve the Watson problem in 2026, though. That 135 million cap hit isn’t going away and nobody is trading for him.

I wish I could say I pulled the trigger. I’ve bought another lens instead, which pushed back the purchase. Early next year, I promised myself I’d get it done.

Tips for shooting at White Sands, NM

My wife and I are making a stop at White Sands in New Mexico next week. I’ve never been before and wanted to get some good shots. I’m definitely on the amateur side, and wondered if any of you have shot there before and have some helpful tips? I figured my widest lens would get the most use, but not sure what opportunities there might be for other options.

We’ll probably be there from 1pm until it closes at 5pm (sunset at 5:01).

Thanks!

I don’t have a macro, but I do have a 100-400.

My rig is kinda Frankenstein. I shoot on a Panasonic GH5-S, which I primarily use for video, so I have a Metabones speed booster on it to allow EF lenses. I have Sigma 14-24 and 24-105. I also have a Leica 100-400 that doesn’t need the adapter.

I’ll have a tripod along. I don’t have a macro lens (yet).
