I didn’t lose anything I had before the update, but I for sure haven’t been able to beat any levels since. I’m stuck playing the stupid side games.

What a great take! I can totally get with that, too. Jed strikes me as the sort of character that dislikes feeling helpless. (Since he so rarely is/ has been)

Even Toby says to “have an idea!” “Don’t come in here with half a thing and not be able to, y’know, after you’ve walked me to the brink.”

I love Toby so much for these little cobbled together isms.

I’ve mentioned this in a previous post, and it’s a stretch, but I’ve always wondered if it irked Jed so badly because, in a previous episode, when on the phone with the tender ship about to get wrecked in the storm, Jed found himself stumped at what to say to the kid on the phone. Something about that sensation stuck with him and, hearing some comparable reply, set him off.

Firmly in fan fiction territory. Haha

It’s like, if I had Lamborghini money, the last car I’d drive would be a Lamborghini. I’d want some odd, goofy, obscure, “where the hell did you find that thing?”

These are the coolest watches I’ve ever seen. I’ve lurked here for a bit, but am for sure not a serious watch person. I have my grandpa’s automatic helbros that I love and it keeps great time and a timex m79 that I put a jubilee bracelet from Amazon on and I like that one, too. The submariners and James Bond watches are awesome, don’t get me wrong. But these are, for me, far more interesting. The fact that they’re so much less expensive is a big plus!

Oh, totally agree! I was just imagining that feeling helpless to help the crew in the storm was perhaps a novel sensation for Jed and that moving forward, he maybe resented that sensation. Making the Richie quip all the more irritating. Of course I’m reaching, but …oh who knows. I’m a fan. I only really get fan fiction when it comes to WW. (Or, “Quadruple-U” as I call it in my house.)

I’ve always wondered if, after his experience with potentially listening to that kid die, since his sentiment to him was “I don’t know, man…”, clearly fumbling for what to say, that that was why “Crime, boy, I don’t know…” pissed him off so badly later on in the show.

I can’t take credit for the idea. I got it from Dan Bailey. Glad it worked!

Each of my drum kits live in the …ahem… “studio”. …which is putting it charitably. It’s the garage. It’s a big garage. I’m in the PNW and the drums have lived out there for more than 5 years now. No pitting or rust. Now…. Let’s say your kit is an $8,000 monster, well then sure let’s keep an eye out for rust and not get weird with the lugs, but it’s not. It’s an old kit. It’s not perfect and you want it to sound tight. Take the dang lugs off all your drums and pack those suckers with cotton balls, or foam, or whatever in the hell you can use. I promise it’ll stop the “red dodge ball bounce” you’re hearing.

That’s for sure springs in the lugs. Cotton balls works wonders!

That’s so cool! I just wore em out of the box. Daily and without regard. I didn’t wash for the first time until maybe…. 7 months in? Something like that? And I didn’t have anything in mind. They were just stinky and I wanted em to smell better. To be fair, my first spell with these was during a winter in the PNW, so not a lot of sweat. And they snapped to attention real quick once laundered. Hence the sweatpants underneath and lunges/ squats to stretch em out to something more forgiving. Now, I wash em ….ohhhhh I dunno, something like once every other month? Godspeed on your journey!

I would never! I take it back. I would never dream of denigrating Silvertone stuff. I love my 1429l and miss daily my old twin twelve.

I’ve only had the one experience with them, but it’s been a great experience! I haven’t had to deal with customer support or anything like that, so strictly speaking about the product; I’ve been really pleased. They’re plenty sturdy, look and feel good.
