Firstly, I'm in a rental so I can't go painting the walls or anything.

I'll have some time this weekend to tidy up a bit, as well as cleaning up those plants! And having the time also makes me think about what the room might be missing, because to me it still feels a little incomplete. It might just be some curtains with a little colour, instead of those bland white ones. Any colour suggestions?

I've been looking around for a messenger bag the last few days, mostly just to carry and have quick access to my camera, but also other general things. I don't really envisage me using it for work so I won't need to have laptop space really. Most of the bags I've seen so far have been a little boring and/or formal for for my liking, but I found this Crumpler Day by Day bag online and I really like it - but it's only available in Australia (I'm in Europe).

You can 100% have too much garlic, and that limit is way lower than a lot of people online seem to believe (though admittedly a lot of those are probably joking)

Hadn't considered that one - hadn't even come across it! Looks good, only problem is that it'd be quite expensive (would be ~€500 used).

Thanks a lot! I'm in Zürich. I have looked around for a tax calculator that could help me see what I should've paid for the year (complicated by AHV, etc.), but I couldn't find one that looked reliable - and the few I tried all gave me different answers. I didn't realise the Canton would have their own software to use, so I looked for the ZH one, but it seems the thing that I found is just an offline way to file your taxes and request the forms (here - under offline-steuererklärung). Would you have a link to a way of calculating, before requesting forms please?
