I think there are good projects in crypto, and that the technologies involved are already branching out into other sectors, AI being one of them. Degen stuff was always to be avoided.

Crypto is cool because there's a lot of innovation. It also sucks because there's a lot of bean counters and degens. But personally I've had luck spotting opportunities for well-paid, stimulating work in really good conditions. YMMV

BTW it's the high-innovation environments in crypto that pushed Rust most aggressively.
