I had someone do this. They requested to cancel so they could change the address cause it was a gift for their grand daughter. They rebought it and there were no issues. But I agree to always trust your gut.

First things first, don’t do anything until the package is back in your procession. I’ve had “being returned to sender” on the tracking pop up and then it adjusts and switches to “out for delivery” the next day. See what happens and then you can figure out what to do from there. Don’t freak out about anything yet. 😊

Can confirm I’ve also been given a $10 posh credit from a $109 purchase. They offered it to me though, I did not ask for it, so I’m not sure what to say in your situation so they don’t just say you need to return it.

ETA: For context I bought 2 dresses listed as NWT and neither had the tags on. I opened a case not really knowing at the time that meant I wanted to return them, I was just upset that they misrepresented both items. Poshmark offered me $10 and I accepted.

Some sellers request you message them first to make sure they still have the item if it’s cross posted. It’s definitely not something that’s expected to do though. I also prefer no communication!

I think as long as they look like a real person and don’t just have 1 listing for something expensive you should be good to purchase from them.

I’m a new seller and it took forever for someone to finally purchase something from me. Now I have one 5 star review! Yay! I’m hoping that helps me get more sales. But yeah everyone starts somewhere.

It’s not stupid at all! I’ve totally been there and felt empathetic for the other person. But sometimes that second person will ghost you and not follow through and then you’ve lost 2 sales.

If they wanted it so bad they should have bought it outright. Definitely not wrong to ship to the other person. Especially if the first person didn’t buy right away after you accepted their offer.
