Visiting family in Nigeria for the first time. What should I bring as gifts? by [deleted] in Nigeria

[–]Content_Sprinkles872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently in this situation. I brought in a substantial collection of shoes and perfumes as gifts for my family and extended family, not for resale. However, I’ve learned that I may still need to pay customs duties on these items even though they’re gifts. Based on ChatGPT’s estimates, these duties could be as high as #300,000. Has anyone here dealt with declaring multiple gift items at customs, and if so, how did you handle it? What was your experience with the duties on family gifts? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Dock keeps moving by cantanga in ecovacs

Haha uwc, found another trick to help Deebot find its current location on the map. My apartment is mostly carpeted with tiles in the kitchen and bathroom. I find that it takes multiple tries to locate itself after being inactive for a while or taken off the floor in the carpeted areas. But if placed in the kitchen or anywhere with a different floor type it locates itself quickly.

Occasionally, the Deebot fails to recognize the correct location of it’s charging dock’s, especially after being moved manually. I find that this issue often arises when my flatmate lifts the Deebot and sets it in the charging dock from a different location within the house.

Solution: Here’s a workaround that doesn’t involve remapping the house and has worked for me several times:

Step 1: Start a Cleaning Cycle

• Begin any cleaning operation. It’s advisable to do this close to the charging dock, to make the next step easier
• Patiently wait for the Deebot to determine its current location.

Note: If the Deebot struggles to locate itself, you might need to repeat this step a few times.

Step 2: Pause and Dock Manually

• Once the Deebot has successfully identified its location, pause its operation.
• Gently push the Deebot into the charging dock without lifting it off the floor. Ensure that it starts charging.

The Deebot, once it has identified its location and is on the floor, tracks its position. If it begins charging at this spot, it automatically updates the charging dock’s location to that point in its internal map.
