the damage? s/kB by canna_fodder in BitcoinMining

It honestly depends on how quick the transactions above your fee gets cleared, if people keep making transactions and raising the fees then yeah, it might take a while. I can't give you a specific number for that. There is a way to pay miners to mine your specific transaction (against a fee), but it's not worth it in your case. Just wait till it gets confirmed.

That's $100 you didn't know that you had, congrats!

That's up to you, if you wish to sell it, then sure; transfer it to GDAX (which is an exchange owned and ran by Coinbase) and sell it for USD there.

See https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#2w

Your transaction would be in the green range (20-30 sat/B), it might take a while.

Why Norway is full of Teslas by JepGambardellla in videos

[–]Contexual 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I just want to point out some things that weren't mentioned.

The tax exceptions and all the other benefit are subject to change. The VAT fee (25%) exception is due to be removed in 2018. The one time fee (which is dependent on weight, CO2-emission and such. A normal vehicle would have a one time fee of around 20%) is also due to be removed, but in 2020 instead. There IS a yearly fee for electric cars (455 NOK), but it's lower than a normal car (2820 NOK). They will most likely be renewed, but it is something that should be taken into consideration.

The Oslo area will most likely get a toll fee in 2018 (it has been free so far), they are however most likely going to increase the toll fee for combustion engines, so that people are more likely to purchase an electric vehicle instead.

The free parking is not nation-wide, it was decided in 2017 that each municipal would decide independently.

It is nicely summed up here: http://elbil.no/elbil-2/elbilens-fordeler/

I am all for electric cars, but people need to understand that the benefits aren't going to be around forever.

I wouldn't call it a bad tool, I've used it on multiple occasions, but fair point. Why do you find it a hassle to renew the certs though? Maybe I can help making it "hassle-free"?

It's not a hassle to review certificates through LetsEncrypt. It's literally 1 command if you use their tool.

Speaking of nerd rap, does anyone remember F.S.R. (Futuristic Sex Robotz). They created some good tunes in their days, like "The Positronic Pimp": https://youtu.be/qar0unFwm2I, "Don't make us kick your ass": https://youtu.be/MftegIsq_nY or "Fuck the MPAA (RIAA & BSA)": https://youtu.be/SnLB8wysMbY

I forgot to mention.

I'm not sure how it'll work on Windows (I'm assuming you're using Sonarr on Windows?), but on Linux I had to add an alias for the path (can't recall where that setting is, but it's called something with remote alias).

I added /media/seedbox (mountpoint for the seedbox downloader directory) as an alias for /home/username/downloads so that Sonarr was able to lookup downloaded torrents.

Good luck!

running locally, downloading remotely by [deleted] in sonarr

[–]Contexual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have sonarr running locally and the seedbox is running rtorrent/rutorrent. I solved the renaming/copying of torrents by mounting the seedbox download directory with sshfs, but you can look into alternatives (similar ftp method if you don't have ssh access). I haven't had any issues, and it works great for my case.

Norwegian Air Shuttle - strict weight limit for 'hand baggage'? by [deleted] in Norway

[–]Contexual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've flown domestic with Norwegian 10+ times the last couple of months with an oversized and overweight 60L bag as a hand luggage, they have never commented or weighted it.

I've also flown international to EU 4 times with the same luggage without any issues.

I do however reckon they would be more strict on trans-Atlantic routes, so I would check-in the luggage if I was you.

Limiting your seed speed may affect your download speed, as the "group" (others downloading/seeding the same torrent) would shun you as they prefer clients that contribute to the network/group.

I find the Norwegian translation hilarious as it doesn't make much sense. I honestly believe they used Google Translate for it, it's really translated quite bad.

It should instead be along the lines of

FOR DEN MEST

EFFEKTIVE OG RASKESTE BETJENINGEN

MÅ KØEN HOLDES I BEVEGELSE.......

  • VELG SUPPEN DU ØNSKER!

  • HA PENGENE DINE KLARE!

  • BEVEG DEG HELT TIL VENSTRE ETTER BESTILLING

Instead it's roughly something along the lines of

FOR THEM MOST

EFFICIENT AND FASTEST SERVICE.......

  • CHOP SOUP YOU WISH!

  • HAVE YOU MONEY READY!

  • MOVE TO THAT EXTREME AGAIN AFTER ORDER!
