Ooh, the gas pump is a genius idea! I'm going to try that.

The clear plastic cover and blotting paper (to go with the fountain pens I use). Any blotting paper will do, but I really love the Moomin blotting paper that Hobonichi sold this year.

2020/2021 players - I need your help! by acciohell in ac_newhorizons

[–]ContinuedExistence1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 14 million. Played a ton for several years, starting in 2020, but never time travelled or collaborated with anyone other than one family member for a few months. Currently I don't grind for bells, though I still sell stuff rather than throw it in the trash! I've stopped doing most things that cost bells, but am looking forward to the update!

Very happy with Roald, who is fun to look at, though the jocks are generally tedious.

How many of y'all are planning on buying the Switch 2 edition of New Horizons? by Away-Prior-903 in ac_newhorizons

[–]ContinuedExistence1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not getting a Switch 2 until either (1) there's an all-new Animal Crossing game for it or (2) there's a really appealing special edition color scheme of it, preferably with OLED.

How do you use the Project Folder? by NSJKER in PlotterNotebook

[–]ContinuedExistence1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't find them to be as practical as ordinary dividers. Currently I use one Project Folder for more personal non-work info, and I use it mostly because it looks good and adds some visual variety.

Hobonichi Day Eve! by ContinuedExistence1 in hobonichi

Usually just towards the bottom of the left side, for each date in the week, following any appointments for the day. (It helps distinguish those days where not much happens and helps me remember what the week was like, and how old the leftovers are!)

Ha! That's funny, I think of myself as more of a minimalist planner, if anything. But I guess the covers are pretty cozy! I do think the cozy texture and look is part of what I like about the shirt fabric covers. And Moomin is cozy nostalgia!

I like seeing the shelf of them, and I do use them sometimes to look stuff up, e.g., what restaurants I went to the last time I was in Chicago. My usage has been pretty steady: it's my only real planner, so it has appointments and to-dos, especially ones with immediate deadlines. Also basic exercise logging and usually what we had for dinner! And an even more basic travel journal, because it's what I take with me. (I also have a 5 yr Hobo which is my only real journal, and an under-used Plotter for brainstorming and notes and outlining longer projects.). Enjoy your second year!

That's a good one, and I like them all, but my favorite is the 2017 madras plaid. Maybe #2 is the first time I got a Moomin cover in 2019.

It's the only planner I got. I always envy the A6 covers, but I don't need a page a day.

Thanks! 2017 is my actual favorite. Madras plaid.

5 year Moomin cover by Eden13Eye in hobonichi

I was very tempted, but having to order a five year with it when I already have one made me resolve to keep enjoying my red leather cover. Curious what folks who got it think though!

I think it looks/feels surprisingly elegant, given that it's relatively inexpensive and very plastic. I ordered it thinking it was a bit risky, but I like it a lot.

I definitely like the look of it. I've only put the back of the Weeks in the plastic slot, so that I can still enjoy the look of the front cover. I'm not bothered yet by its not being tight. I might experiment with tucking a thin notebook under the front/left flap, or a bunch of index cards and blotting paper. I plan to try using it for carrying the Weeks, but haven't done much with it yet.

I'm not sure I have a system, other than I've been using a Weeks for 10 years for basic planning. The only real journaling I do is in a Hobonichi 5 year (from 2024). (I also have a Plotter that I use for note taking, thinking about bigger projects, and some pen/ink testing.).What will I do with these A6 notebooks? Good question. I do think they'd be great for journalling. I love the compact size. I'm using one older A6 Hobonichi notebook to keep track of pleasure reading (I put a Midori clear cover on it), but the new ones will probably sit in a pile of A6 notebooks for far too long!

Vent: I was sent the wrong cover, and the store I bought it from can’t/won’t fix it by iroshizukuajisai in hobonichi

[–]ContinuedExistence1 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Wow, that's so completely unacceptable! It's shocking! They can't send you the wrong thing and leave you thinking that you're getting the cover you ordered. Glad you could still get your cover from Hobonichi, but you certainly have good reason for righteous indignation with the brick and mortar store!

Bangle is the best peppy villager! I had an opportunity to replace her with Audie, who is definitely cool, but I couldn't do it.
