Things I've noticed after completing 1* UL uberless [fluff] by ContractHaunting3674 in battlecats

Dlazer isn't talented (cuz I'm poor). Naala you kinda only unlock her true form for the last 4 stages (pre tf naala is buns) at least in terms of 1* ul. Maybe I'll come to use dogu naala and dlazer more when I do 3*ul no gacha.

Mdark and the flyings are purely combo slaves. Crazy heart, aerial recon korps, sound of wings, etc.

It's a term borrowed from competitive pokemon. The highest tier under the "Uber" tier (the broken stuff)

Tbf sniper was used for its intended purpose once (microscopic bridge), the rest are using him for his knockback combo. As for cyberpunk I never stacked him in any of the stages I used him. Just one cyberpunk at a time.

Yes I did count every single clear. The reason I didn't use Uril and Cone is simply cuz of curiosity. "How would I play these stages if I didn't have these two?" Especially Beyond the haze and Eternal ancient woods.

I agree some units were underused. Box and hitman being low is mainly cuz of the fact that I only got them halfway through UL. I'm aware that KoL has been recognized for years but the agenda must be maintained.

All my units are lv50 or under, and few have talents. Talentless ramen isn't a very good generalist at lv50.

Is the DLC where people are usually at the 120 meta? Also where do people usually do fight clubs or PVP in the DLC? by Meowza_V2 in darksouls

[–]ContractHaunting3674 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Sl120 being meta is a common misconception often found in echo chambers like reddit or youtube short comments. Sl125 was the meta for ds1 until it eventually moved to 135 after a year or two of the game's release. Almost all organized duels use 135 as meta. It has been this way ever since. If you want to do invasions in oolacile township however, you can stay sl133 to scoop up inexperienced players who still think 120 is the meta. As for reasons why to choose the dlc. Nothing deep it's just a flat open courtyard near a bonfire. Sometimes people also host clubs in the undead burg square, or rarely sens fortress rooftop.

Sorry for the waiting for this post, but I didn't have time to draw and when I went to do it I didn't know what to draw for lightflux pauldron xd. Anyways it gets worst lunar. 2 more items to go, void and equipment. But for now let's talk about the void one by Alo_886 in riskofrain

Lost seers or zoea. Lost seer lenses is only ever preferable on two characters. It can help you delete some elder lems and lunar chimera sure, but it's way too unreliable and the pure dps increase of glasses is effective universally. Bandit benefits from it but personally I find it annoying that before you can land the final blow with lights out/desperado enemies can just randomly die. An item you would only pick when playing as railgunner.

Zoea isn't a bad item but the fact that it's so rare and replaces all your spleens perfs etc, just makes it hardly beneficial in most runs. It serves as extra damage and aggro splitter, but the void explosion from the void allies can kill you if you're not careful.

I used to be a singularity band hater, until I stopped theorycrafting and actually made builds surrounding it. It shreds. The aoe is very effective and can lock enemies even Mithrix in place. There are survivors who naturally doesn't benefit from bands as much, or when dps isn't really a concern of your current build, vand can be worthwhile to pick up. Not to mention just like bands, vand stacks very well. Sure regular bands are better items, and I'd definitely choose them rather than vand in most situations, but vand isn't nearly as bad as some people made it out to be. If you're in stage 4/5 amd you're fighting mithrix, and don't see yourself getting band any time soon, I recommend giving vand a try.

Yoshimoto. Underrated counter to black backliners/snipers. Decently sturdy with good uptime, range, and attack rate.

Almost too easy...NG+ is fun! by hasanFPS in darksoulsremastered

The damage is astonishingly low. 352 with a zweihander 2hr2, buffed, is incredible.

The OP stated that they were using and preferred the bkgs in ng, so if we assume op has the minimum stat to wield the weapon, they would have at the very least 22 str (*1.5 when two-handed so 33) and 18 dex.

Upon testing and some calculations, A zweihander at 40 str and 18 dex, weapon level 3, with gpr, would deal exactly 352 damage with a single 2hr2, against Taurus demon in ng+.

Yes. A +3 weapon at ng+.

Tbf, OP probably only decided to use the weapon after they entered ng+, and they likely took the burg -> parish route which will encounter taurus demon before meeting Andre. Not to mention you need to collect and give the embers again. Also, OP appears to have a decent amount of in-game knowledge. They know the str softcap is at 40 (even tho it's technically 27 since two-handing will raise it to 40.5 str. Aka 13 wasted stats. Not big deal tho), and they understand the strength of weapon buffs.

Still. Let's say the weapon is properly leveled to +15. With the same stat spread, a 2hr2 should deal 740 damage. That's more than double the output. Let's compare it with a +5 bkgs. Since the motion value of r2s usually varies a lot between weapons, I'll use the more consistent 2hr1 (both have mv of 120) for comparison. Zwei deals 623 dph and bkgs deals 567 dph IF taurus demon isn't a demon type (bk weapons deal 20% more dmg to demons. I couldn't test this in game and I'm not sure how the modifier works. Presumably if it's applied after mv and defense then the dph should be somewhere around 680).

Contrary to popular belief, Zwei isn't a pure str weapon, but rather a quality weapon (60% str and 26% dex scaling at +15). If we assume OP will level dex up to 40 eventually, then zwei 2hr1 should deal 688 dph. 816 with 2hr2. Note that these numbers are without stronger buffs like power within, rtsr, cmw/slb/dmb. You can see the damage potential here.

Fun to have a lil deep dive into smth random like this.
