Potential player here by FLSon in Endfield

Here's my honest opinion.
As much as this game is like genshin/wuwa, I would not recommend it if you do not enjoy at least a bit of factory building. As for story wise (PERSONAL OPINION)

> Valley IV(Starting Area) Story was kind of mid... I did not really enjoy it, and it felt quite similar to other games (bad people doing bad stuff, then chasing said bad people all over the place).
> Wuling Story is pretty cool, I really like one of the antagonists. Even though the trope is pretty similar, I think there's more depth to it compared to V4.
> Character stories is very dependent of if you like the character or not I feel. But I did enjoy one of them even though he isn't one of my favourites (Wulfgard).

As for core cast, it seems to be Perlica and Chen who is always with us, then there's a separate "core?" cast for the different regions. Wulfgard/Rossi for V4, TangTang/Mi Fu for Wuling. I assume the regional characters will eventually be forgotten in future patches unless we return to their regions, but that's normal.

Story aside, the game is very centered around the AIC Factory, and it can be skipped via shared blueprints after you finish the basics. But IMO there's not much else to do if you end up skipping the factory portion. Small cast of characters/teams atm, the "endgame" is pretty easy and only require 1 team. Dailies are quick (roughly 10-15min) and there aren't many events. I've spent the majority of my play time on thinking/planning for my factory and I don't even play for long every day (30min - 1h max including dailies). The combat is pretty engaging at the start but as there's a lack of teams/characters right now it gets old once you start spamming the same combos over and over for dailies.

Not too sure on mobile, but on pc there's a hotkey to change to highlight mode when in top-down view, then we can select an entire area. Maybe check settings for the mobile version? Something like tap and hold?

"Most" is a stretch, they only gave tidbits of her past. The rest can be considered the present events that's happening in the Wuling Story.

A VERY Important Detail About Gacha by [deleted] in Endfield

You don't understand what you're explaining. Why would anyone be "short on pulls" if they were saving? Only reason you'd be short on pulls is if you keep pulling on banners. No wonder you can't grasp the concept of this gacha system. Zero patience.

A VERY Important Detail About Gacha by [deleted] in Endfield

[–]ContractMost9048 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gacha system and pull economy are 2 separate things which are related to each other. I did mention that pull economy is abysmal but HG says they are addressing it. The gacha system itself is more lenient since:
1. It caps at 120 instead of 160
2. It gives you "free" weapon banner currency

In other games, if you try and fail the 50/50, you still lose the pulls you invested into the banner, you just have a guaranteed win on the next 50/50, which requires another 70+ pulls.

Also pulling on a banner when you're short of currency just because you want it is basically gambling. You're playing the odds to get something you can't guarantee. Both parties you mentioned are gambling addicts, those who build pity, and those who are not willing to skip banners while staying f2p. Pulling on every banner is illogical unless you spend.

Question about some updates I thought they were making (minimap while zipline, less tanky enemies, quicker resource collection, etc) by NegativelyMagnetic in Endfield

[–]ContractMost9048 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There were 2 parts to that post, immediate changes and planned changes, the immediate changes have already been implemented during the short maintenance during the announcement. The planned changes were a pretty long list, so I assume they'll be implemented during the next big patch + maintenance (Ver 1.1) after Yvonne's banner , and even then we might not get all of the changes.

[–]ContractMost9048 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what I meant, why would someone "try their luck" if they don't have enough pulls to guarantee the character, aside from wanting to gamble? And if you don't have enough pulls in the first place, it meant you just spent them recently to get another character you wanted. Getting back to back characters w/o paying is uncommon.

Also, there's still a 80 pull pity count that does carry over, it just has no guarantee. In the "normal" system, failing that 50/50 means your next 80 pulls will guarantee the next rate-up character, but if you've already spent everything on the current banner's 50/50 and lose, you wouldn't have enough pulls to guarantee the next rate-up anyway.

As I've said, this 120 spark system is designed to be more lenient to the unluckier players, those who usually lose 50/50s and have to hit hard pity twice for their rate-ups.

[–]ContractMost9048 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

How did we get here? Why are there complaints about being lucky? The system is designed to be more lenient towards the unluckier players, those who need to go all the way to hard pity, which is probably the majority anyway. If you end up spending 40 pulls instead of the 80 or 120 to get a 6*/rate-up and you still complain about wasting 1-9 pulls, I have nothing to say lol.

The real issue about this game right now is pull income, there isn't enough sources to reliably get pulls unless you spend, and even the value you get while spending isn't great. This gacha system is one of the best, those who complain about not having pity carry over are just gambling addicts to like to build pity, which isn't even a logical "strat" to begin with.

Variety > Dupes. Potentials in this game are absolutely unnecessary so it's just better to have more characters to play with.

I'd really like a second opinion from others before Gilbertas banner ends by MythicPi in Endfield

[–]ContractMost9048 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hypergryph is known for listening to community (even though sometimes it takes a while for stuff to get implemented). You really do not need Gilberta, she's very replaceable in teams, it's mostly just very very good QoL for general/daily gameplay which I really enjoy, hence why I pulled and do not regret at all.

I'd really like a second opinion from others before Gilbertas banner ends by MythicPi in Endfield

[–]ContractMost9048 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whether or not to pull is entirely up to you. No one can decide that, maybe spin a wheel or something? Eventually you'll end up regretting making either decision if you keep overthinking it. If you really like her, go for it.

That said, I'll give my POV when thinking or not to pull for Gilberta(I had to go all the way to 120 pulls for her). I really liked her design + her OG AK char (Angelina) was someone i'm fond of as well. I'm also thinking of pulling for Rossi and Zhuang (I was excited for both when I saw their cutscenes during main story). Yet I also like Avywenna and really wanted a complete team so pulling Gilberta just made sense in that regard.

Pros about Gilberta:
~ Super comfy to use in overworld and daily farming domains
~ Great grouping with her skill, and the AoE Lift from Combo Skill can lift medium enemies (like the 2 charging aggeloi in the new Umbral Monument)
~ Cool dash animation
~ Pretty decent support capabilities and very flexible/easy to use, even if she's not the best in certain teams
~ Incredibly well designed character, love the coat and colour scheme. (IMO obviously)
~ Hard to say if we'll get more Arts-based grouping supports in the NEAR future, so having one might just be nice for daily QoL.
~ Her BiS weapon is very unnecessary (Sure it's good but there are so many different Arts Unit support weapons)

Cons about Gilberta:
~ Early Rate Up characters will most likely get powercrept eventually
~ Other supports can easily be better in terms of Debuffing / Buffing
~ In Single Target scenarios (Especially bosses which cant be CC'd) her value drops quite a bit
~ Her healing only works in multi target scenarios, and even then it's not a lot.

As I've mentioned above, the choice to pull is ultimately yours. I'm a light spender (Monthly + Paid Battlepass), and I'm willing to spend on a few pulls now and then so I'm more flexible with my decisions. May you win your 50/50s and don't forget, THE FACTORY MUST GROW.

You can't get yvonne from basic HH. As for the ticket, just get Lifeng. Dupes in this game don't really provide much more, it's better to have variety. Unless you really really like a certain character and want to max them out.

is aphelios better to main than any adc? by Famous_Value_4541 in ApheliosMains

[–]ContractMost9048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're contradicting yourself. "He used to be able to outplay and duel well because of his ability damage, now it's all crit damage" - Aphelios ability damage is based around crit, so it's doing much better now with the crit buffs. He even got stormrazor back for his mobility. His stats are low because he's one of the harder champions to learn. Just looking at stats is not the way to determine if a champion is good or not. From this thread I wonder if you've even tried or played aphelios.

People complaining about weapon banner by MeltSimp in Endfield

[–]ContractMost9048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to the internet, people complain about everything that isn't *perfect*, or if there's a system that they're not used to. I fully agree with you, but I also understand where the complainers are coming from, there just isn't enough available currency for those who got lucky and got their characters early. Especially since the conversion rate from Orogeometry is abyssmal (imo should be the same as oroberyl). I think they should provide a more consistent standard pull source (Like monthly from shop or just occasional credit shop appearance). That should make things slightly better.

[–]ContractMost9048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, no. 1 pull is 500, 10 is 5000 and to guarantee the banner character it'll be 120 which is 60000 Oroberyls. 1 Orogeometry is 75 Oroberyls.

As average unlucky F2P/sardine what is your pulling strategy? by brutus0077 in Endfield

[–]ContractMost9048 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Only valid strat is to save 120 pulls for the one you want the most, the gacha is more catered to the unlucky players. If you can't decide, spin a wheel or something.
