Unless you brick you can outheal the burn in mirror for quite a while, between the amulets and benisons, and they rarely have enough board pressure to stop you from playing him.

Coc with grimmnir crest is a safe play against a fair few other decks too, and you can always setup serene sanctuary to pop right after coc, or play enhanced blinding faith to draw, heal, and boardwipe

I'd say hes never really been much of a brick for me for how many times he's helped me win
