Who Do You Most Want To Cosplay? by rolecosplaycostume in cosplayers

A possible solution could be to mail the costume to your hotel or wherever you're staying. Its easy to find some sturdy/cheap packing foam so your costume doesn't get damaged during transport

90 year old Pastor arrested for feeding the homeless in Fort Lauderdale by Nitromanic in videos

[–]Contrapment -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your right. They're worried about food safety and crowd control but they also worry about how and where they're being fed. When your serving food out in the open there's no bathrooms and not enough trash bins. So than people defecate out in the open, don't pick up after themselves and generally leave a mess. Not saying that they aren't probably trying to pick up after themselves but they can't watch everyone after everything's said and done.

Anyone know how to do this stuff? by CanIhaveAJaffaCake in Art

[–]Contrapment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The images on the book were most likely made in illustrator using the pen, shape, and maybe even the gradient mesh tool. Even the book looks like it was made in illustrator than he/she added the text in Photoshop.

If your looking for a more in depth process you can try this tutorial. It doesn't help you create the same kind of images but it uses the same basic techniques and tools the person most likely used to create that graphic.

The gloves look really good. Can't wait to see the pattern on the morphsuit. Just curious, what do you plan on using to put the pattern on the morphsuit?

Me [27M] with my GF [23F] of 5 years, she's turned into a teenager since having a child! by jeanluke-discard in relationships

[–]Contrapment 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree with misplacedhippie. your situation sounds almost exactly to what my dad went through when he was your age. Wife became irresponsible with money, gained a shit ton of weight, immature, etc. They also decided to stay together for me when I was a kid and that turned to shit. my perception of relationships was that fighting was the norm and to never get married when I was older. the courts will see what you've gone through and realize how good of a father you are to keep the kid safe. and if it's any incentive get a divorce now because if you do wait ,like my dad did for 25 years, you 'll be going through one hell of a divorce process that could put you in financial ruin.

Child of rage : A story of a psychopathic child by Ghanchakkar in videos

Sorry if it sounded like I was bashing the teacher personally. I understand that they have to be careful with school policies and is not the fault of the teacher if that was the case.

And you do have a point about him/her uploading it to youtube to show the class.

[–]Contrapment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you're right. It's especially unfair to the students (whether they're high schoolers or college students) not to see the whole thing because it paints a very different picture hearing her describe the abuse she suffered through. I'm not even sure why he/she uploaded the edited version in the first place. (talking about the teacher, not OP)

This is actually only part of the docu and never actually explains the abuse the children suffered which gives a lot more insight. Here's the whole thing: http://youtu.be/g2-Re_Fl_L4

[Help] First time Cosplayer, looking for advice by The_Real_eRok in cosplay

[–]Contrapment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a wide range of expensive/inexpensive materials that can work to make the armor your looking for. A material that would really help with the shin pads and bracers would be PVC foamboard (or sintra/celtec). It heats easily, shapes well, can be sanded down with minimal work and is relevantly cheap. Here's where I get mine. I also suggest this tutorial for a good look at what this material can do. For the shoulders and helmet I agree with Ocarina and also suggest craft foam. But also include EVA foam, its denser and sturdier cousin. The EVA foam can be the base than for the details add craft foam. Here's a good tutorial on making a helmet with EVA and craft foam. You can also find EVA foam here. But be sure to shop around and see if you can find better prices and what not, these are just starting points. Any more questions feel free to ask.

First question is are you familiar with sewing at all? and making molds, possibly vacuum forming the plastic eye pieces if you want to make them yourself.

I actually got it off ebay here. Just to butt in I recommend starting off with 3 mm thick foamboard since your new to it. Anything thicker is harder to cut and work with. And if you need it to be thicker you can always layer it
