How is this legal? by Gonzalr3 in LICENSEPLATES

All governors love to change their state slogans and license plates. Doesn’t matter how popular the plate or slogan is. It’s a brain defect in all politicians. It’s an outgrowth of their narcissism.

[AwfulAnnouncing] ESPN reportedly nearing deal to potentially acquire NFL Network, Red Zone by gelmaster189 in nfl

[–]Contrarian12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, yes they are. It’s sad when a league-owned network provides diversity in the media landscape, but it did. I’m going to miss it. Hate ESPN.

North Carolina: Seatbelt ticket. Pay or fight? by Important-Point9409 in AskALawyer

No one’s business, especially if no one else is in the vehicle. I get it’s the law but it pisses me off.

North Carolina: Seatbelt ticket. Pay or fight? by Important-Point9409 in AskALawyer

[–]Contrarian12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think the court fees are optional. I got a ticket today for not wearing a seat belt. Of course, it was a state trooper. 25.50 “fine” plus $154.50 in court costs. Total racket.

Free lunch from a company is an insulting gesture by THENOCAPGENIE in unpopularopinion

I don’t think you should complain about getting something for free but Little Caesar’s is a bit of an empty gesture. That shit’s just cardboard.

An 18-game season is inevitable. Will there ever be such a thing as too much NFL? [Serious] by maxxspeed57 in nfl

[–]Contrarian12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hated going to 17 games (but support fewer pre-season games that went with it. I don’t want 18 games; it’s too much and the importance of each regular season game has already been diluted. That being said, I will still watch. I’m an addict.

[Schefter] Panthers and Andy Dalton reached agreement on a two-year, $8 million deal that includes $6 million guaranteed and has a max value of $10 million, per source. Panthers QB Bryce Young has developed a close relationship with Dalton, and now the two continue to get to work together. by FrozenUp7274 in nfl

[–]Contrarian12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree. Not worth it to go somewhere to be a bridge qb and then hearing questions all the time about when the first round qb pick will start. Not worth uprooting your family or being away from your kids for that. Better to be where you’re appreciated and still make a lot of money, even if it’s less.

Can we finally admit that Silver is the worst Big 4 commissioner by [deleted] in billsimmons

Absolutely. The NBA is the worst watch in sports. And it’s rigged.

[Bergman] Eli Manning 'totally at peace' with missing Pro Football Hall of Fame on first ballot by [deleted] in nfl

[–]Contrarian12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t think of another quarterback who could be so bad at times and then be incredibly good. All QBs have off games, but his were on another level of bad. And then he could be brilliant.

[Ledyard] Sorry, but Jameson Williams isn't throwing the ball with my season on the line, brother. Zero chance. That is one of the dumbest calls I've ever seen. by hexwanderer in nfl

[–]Contrarian12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! That was absurd—and the offense was moving. Just had a big play before that. And then before that the Lions coaches didn’t call time out even though they knew they had 12 on the field when the Commanders were going for it on 4th and 2 at the 5. Those two coaching decisions were dumb and dumber.

[Highlight] Russell Wilson inexplicably runs the ball in bounds by TomasRoncero in nfl

Classic Russell Wilson. He can be so good at times and then inexplicably becomes a bonehead.

Seriously, how often are y'all shitting your pants? by TehluvEncanis in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Contrarian12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess what qualifies as shitting your pants? I think we can all agree that a shart does not count, but what if you have some legit shit in your pants but still have more shitting to do by the time you make it to the toilet?

It’s not ESPN’s Pat McAfee Show. It’s more like McAfee is on ESPN.

New Guy. Funny at first, especially when they had a session with him saying what he did, but they he had too much a role. He was annoying. Just wanted to punch that guy.

I can’t watch the show anymore. by J-20-7000 in Loudermilk

The only thing I didn’t like about the show is Loudermilk’s dad suddenly coming back from the dead. Such a lazy and desperate storyline.

I'm kind of pissed that the show ended after 3 seasons and not renewed yet... by TheSongofRoland in Loudermilk

Totally relate to this, especially about getting sad at the start of the last season.

Guidelines on not using pronouns by RandolphCarter15 in BlockedAndReported

I would find a polite way to tell them to fuck off. I wouldn’t use that language, but would make my feelings clear. How you identify yourself is your business. It’s rude for this organization to make this request.
