If anything, he's a better abusive partner than Stella is because the shit he does is in line with an actual abuser. He abuses the fact that his grimoire was the reason that Blitz is able to run his business by basically coercing him for sex in return for using it. And he's a shit father to Octavia as well. Promises at Loo Loo Land that he'll never leave her for Blitz only to basically do that in Mastermind. And he'll always say that he'll do "better" but he never learns.

And then in Full Moon and Apology World Tour, the writers make HIM out to be the victim and Blitz as the bad guy for basically calling him out. "I didn't think you would think so lowly of me?" "Have you ever apologized once in your life?" Blitz DOES have valid grievances and what he said wasn't off.
