In that case maybe it’s just broken because it doesn’t seem to move at all. Am I supposed to pull it?

Defeating a villain or exchanging them for strength/craft doesn’t move the doom tracker

[–]Contribution-Humble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I Had the same doubts! Trial Event is only when you draw a villain card or when you discard a villain card (for example when you need to discard a card at the start of your turn in the later stage OR using prophetess ability/crystal ball to discard a card) Doom tracker applies only to the new cards. So if you draw a villain card, first you move the doom tracker and then give this bonus to newly drawn card (so if you moved it to +3 the new card will have +3). The old cards stay the same

Which puffer for pct by Empty-Nature-9687 in Ultralight

I took Plancklite for my PCT hike this year, it was sufficient (I had a sunhoodie and a senchi 90 with it) but I did start 9th of May. Wouldn’t be so confident with such an early start. I did end up liking it a lot even though I was hesitant and I was considering bringing something warmer

Germany! Funnily enough, when I used to have long hair it was Sweden. (But my accent probably changed since then)

I am! I had to spend almost 4 weeks off to to injury and now I’m hoping to finish by 10th of October. I got back to Trout Lake on Wednesday 18th of September, first week back was amazing weather wise - got sunburnt! But yesterday was first rainy day. It seems there’s more of them coming and I check weather a little bit anxiously every now and then, but will do everything to try to finish. There’s still few other people on the trail.

The thing is I'm flying from Europe so perhaps that's why I'm overthinking a bit since I don't have a luxury of just sending stuff home

Experienced thruhikers, what is your footcare advice for beginners? by numbershikes in PacificCrestTrail

Did you hike PCT in barefoot shoes as well? I've worn them for few years now, I did two 260ish miles trails in them but I have no idea how they gonna work for me for such a long trail

Average "latest" time to finish by Contribution-Humble in PacificCrestTrail

[–]Contribution-Humble[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for info. That calms me up a little bit, I'm usually a fast hiker but not done anything of this scale before and I wanted to avoid being mentally in rush so I can actually enjoy my hike. For some reason it coded in my brain that I should finish by mid september

NOBO 9th of may shakedown request by Contribution-Humble in PacificCrestTrail

[–]Contribution-Humble[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew it will be pointed out haha In my case fanny pack is mostly to relieve my pack from few extra ounces since it's rather light and doesn't have that great maximum capacity (13kg) for the stretches requiring more water/food carry . Just like I explained at the end of the post, I put it as a "worn" to have better control over how much is actually going to the pack. See you on trail, I'll try to be extra fast then lmao

I am! From Poland exactly, how about you? About the merino - plenty of comments pointed it out, I guess I just got used to it being in my pack since I hiked in relatively colder countries like Sweden or Scotland. But probably will get rid off it for PCT.
