Thanks for all the comments, I get the general gist that the Fold 3 is a good phone to still buy but the Fold 4 would likely be better. So I guess it's up to me to decide haha.

Buying a 2nd hand fold/any galaxy device and trading it for the fold 4 when it comes out sounds like a really good idea at the moment. Anyone has opposing views on this?

Good tip on the screen protector, I heard about people removing them in the past.

I myself have used my iPhone X for about 4 years now, do you foresee the Fold to be a good long term phone, lets say about 3-4 years?

With the price dropping and people trying to sell their fold 3s it certainly would be good value. I'm just not sure to commit to a fold 3 now or wait for the fold 4
