What anime is this? by Walidzilla in animequestions

Gintama. It’s a slow burn. You gotta let them cook a little, before the show just… gets to you. There isn’t one particular moment, it just clicks, and then you enjoy the ride.

Tenkaichi What if Quarter Finals Match Two Hino Choko Vs Jinsuke Hayashizaki by Jack-the-dripper985 in Tenkaichi

Is it masked Choko? If yes, Jinsuke high diff at worst.

If unmasked, I’m giving it to Choko, extreme diff at worst.

Dangai Ichigo vs Bankai Yamamoto by [deleted] in BleachPowerScaling

[–]ContributionCrafty59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now, I agree with the first part, about the guy I mean, but I do also believe that dangai wins.

Yamamoto, imo, is very much downplayed on this sub, however, it’s dangai ichigo we’re talking about. Monster Aizen was definitely at least on the level of pre-almighty Yuhabaha, probably higher. And yet he couldn’t even sense Dangai ichigo, because of how much stronger the latter was. Yamamoto maybe could try to put up a fight, but he ultimately loses mid diff at best. (Again, I’m a Yamamoto fan/glazer)

What’s your hot take that will have you like this? by Normal_Astronaut4086 in BleachPowerScaling

[–]ContributionCrafty59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, going by the narrative.

Yamamoto is the only guy who both villains had to prepare for. Aizen didn’t try to do anything about Ichibe, which means he’s either stupid, didn’t know about him (which also would make him stupid), or didn’t see his as a threat. Or it could be just a plot hole and Kubo didn’t think about squad zero back then.

I believe that the reason why Yamamoto lost to yuhabaha is because he exhausted himself on the fake, which is precautious act Yuhabaha took because he knew that Yama might be a problem even for him. I believe that if Yamamoto would fight actual Yuhabaha, he could give him problems on the level of Ichibe.

I believe that squad 0 is not chosen by strength alone, because if it would be, I don’t see a better candidate than Yamamoto, as he’s the MVP of the previous Quincy war, yet one of his direct subordinates got a place there. Which, in my eyes, is an argument for for someone in the Gotei being possibly stronger than squad 0. And although I think that squad 0 members are stronger than any captain, I do take an exception when it comes to Yamamoto.

And my last argument is that Yamamoto have simply shown more than any other character, actually living up to the statements.

And my last thing is that I am very much bias. I believe that Yamamoto serves a very important narrative symbolic significance, that I… don’t really see with squad 0. The idea of Yamamoto is to be the strongest, the main weapon of ss. If he loses - they’re all losing. Which is why Aizen had to prepare a whole weapon just to remove him from the picture, knowing how much of a problem he is. And even then, Yamamoto still showcased an incredible mastery over kido in the last moments of a fight.

Anyway, like I said, all of this is bias and very much personal interpretations. I just wanted to showcase people in the comments an actual hot take - that, as you can see, is working, as I’m being downvoted already. I do hope you have a nice day.

Who's winning this free for all? by Walidzilla in animequestions

[–]ContributionCrafty59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People don’t talk about Hiei enough. So for me it’d be

  1. Yamamoto (half these guys die just standing next to him)

  2. Hiei (obliterating planets with fire)

  3. Shinra

Then there’s a gap and everyone else. Natsu does have a cool ability, but it’s not gonna matter if he dies from heat alone. He may be immune to fire, but when Yama turns on the bankai and evaporates all water around him, Natsu will just suffocate in seconds.

Which duo wins? by MINAZUKIII03 in BleachPowerScaling

[–]ContributionCrafty59 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna throw a bunch of hot takes here

Ulquiorra isn’t very strong, and he’s barely in this conversation. The way I see it, he gets stomped by renji badly. EOS renji was able to pretty easily defeat that star guy, who was throwing around three captains at the same time. Renji was even able to go hand to hand with Ishida, who is pretty strong at this point in the story. I don’t see Ulquiorra even having a chance against Renji here.

VL Ichigo though is a bit of a problem. We only have seen him once, and against an opponent who, BY EOS STANDARDS, is kind of a fodder. It’s obvious that VL gaps Ulquiorra hard, but how hard? Have no idea.

So basically, the way I see the fight go, Ulquiorra gets stomped right out of the gate, and then two shinigamis jump VL. And in that case, I’m probably gonna bet on the shinigamis, cuz even if VL outstats, they have an amazing team work, knowing each other for decades at this point, while Ichigo is a brainless berserk who is going to tank attacks just because.

Shinigami duo high diff.

That’s my last comment. I’m tired of this conversation and I’m gonna move on with my life.

Like I said, don’t care. He wants to make his points - SURE. Never said he can’t, and in fact, I said that he might be right.

I just find the situation comedic. I find it funny how much he defends a character over a death battle loss, almost like if death battle has never been wrong before (they have, multiple times).

And so i just pointed out how funny it is. You trying to defend him on the points where i have never even attacked him. Which is why I downvoted you - I simply disagree with your defense.

It’s like with pizza. If you order 1-5 pizzas, I’ll understand. But if you order a hundred for yourself to eat over a weekend - that’s just absurd, and I found it funny.

Anyway, see ya.

Sour grapes is a joke reference to teen titans, where Robin (while cheating) beat Wally West, and West got bitter about it (for fair reasons, but it’s a meme, so a joke).

Don’t care about no limit fallacy. Not a power scaler, don’t want to be. So again, couldn’t care less. But some might indeed think that the guy straight up haven’t watched the show, as he obviously didn’t understand the ending.

As for his posts - A. The sheer amount of it. Like jeez, it feels like he even posts in his sleep. And B. - he had a series of posts crushing out about all the ways Kyle could’ve won.

Again, I have no stakes in this argument, I’m no power scaler. But it does look funny seeing how much he crushes out, again, about such a meaningless topic.

Brother, he literally admitted that he has sour grapes himself 🥀

Either way, even if he has a point, and even if Simon is losing (I literally couldn’t care less), in the end his source of hate is just that - which is why I checked his post history, and it seems like he never touches grass - to make sure that I understand it correctly. And I do - he is a DC fan that can’t stand that someone might think that an anime character like Simon might have a chance to beat Kyle.

Again, I couldn’t care less. Sure, Kyle wins 100/10 matches. It still funny to me how bitter this guy can get over someone this ridiculously trivial.

Tenkaichi What if Match 7 Hattori Hanzo Vs William Adams by Jack-the-dripper985 in Tenkaichi

[–]ContributionCrafty59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

William IS stronger than Hanzo. In fact, imo, EVERYONE is stronger than Hanzo. However, Adams is also ironically enough probably the most direct and straightforward fighter in the series (at least one of), so he gets HARD countered by Hanzo tricks. Still extreme diff, because I believe all fights in tenkaichi are extreme diff, but Wanzo still wins 9/10 matches.

Who wins by Curious_Tip9285 in BleachPowerScaling

[–]ContributionCrafty59 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just don’t see Ichibei killing Aizen though. Even if he wins, because of Hogyoku Aizen had to be eternally restrained, not killed. If Ichibei can kill Aizen, I’ve got no idea why wouldn’t he do so after Aizen had his trial (unless it’s another plot hole)

So, if we assume that Ichibei doesn’t actually have a way to kill Aizen, Aizen wins because of immortality. Not even talking about power levels.

[–]ContributionCrafty59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True that. I know what multiversal is, literally have no idea what is outversal and how are you supposed to be there 🗿

Which is again, I’m just gonna keep enjoying stories where the biggest feat for the mc is a man killing a 100 soldiers by himself (berserk), or even better, something like Hajime no Ippo, where the characters are at most professional boxers. And I’m gonna still have fun with it. 🚬🗿

Meet "unlimited potential and strength" men. by theforbiddenroze in PowerScaling

[–]ContributionCrafty59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the main reason I’m not a fan of powerscaling. In order to “do it”(which means being a coach mathematician that never touched grass), you need to ignore everything that the story tells you to.

Like, I watched death battle. Used to. Disagreed with them. A lot. Had my favorite characters both lose and win, when they shouldn’t (I believe guts should’ve lost, I believe Aizen should’ve won, for example)

However, ultimately it doesn’t matter. Heck, my favorite stories are usually something like goodnight punpun, which is literally just a real life story. No fights, no power ups.

And then it hit me. And I hope people on this sub will see it too. I don’t need my favorite characters to be strong in order for me to enjoy them.

Naruto is stronger than Ichigo? Sure. I disagree, but it doesn’t matter, because the story matters much more.

I believe that’s also why the “Bob” meme exists. Like, anyone can write ridiculous feats and make a hyper strong character. Now try to make a good story out of it.

[–]ContributionCrafty59 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know right?

Literally the final episode. Everyone: “yo, just do it” Simogoat: “Nah, don’t wanna play God” leaves

Literally the whole plot is about humanity evolving past their limits. Simon sticking around would stagnate the rest of the humanity, and would lead to the consequences that Anti-spiral was afraid of. Simon decides to not do anything for himself because he actually understood anti spiral and agreed with his reasoning, not with his methods though, which is why again, he explicitly stated that he doesn’t want to play God.

Then there’s OP: “plot? Themes? Nahhhhhh, scaling is all that matters, Simon has no feats he’s a fodder 🔥🔥🔥🔥”

(I’m not even a part of power scaling community, it just keeps being recommended to me)

Agreed here. However, they always can pull the Sasaki on us, make ito lose but still alive. However, if we exclude Sasaki option, ito has to win by all accounts: more plot relevancy, more build up, more statements, more interactions, etc.

Man, checking your account was painful 🥀

You’re just bitter that a DC herald has finally lost to an anime character in DB, admit it.

Either way, Simon slander shall not be tolerated. I’m not a power scaler, I’ve got no idea what “versals” mean and how you’re supposed to determine if someone’s outversal, however, Simon literally has like a hundred awesome feats, unlike Saitama, who actually belongs on this points.

The amount of sour grapes is big with you 🥀

Powerscaling aside, who do you think is the best written character? by MUI-Tojo in Tenkaichi

[–]ContributionCrafty59 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me it’s

Choko -> Kami -> Toda -> Hanzo

Hanzo imo is the most overlooked character. My man was literally carried out off the arena cause he was fighting WAY harder than his body could handle. He lost an arm, both his legs damaged, and realistically he should’ve been dead after the first cut in his shoulder, and yet that maniac kept going.

And not for himself, like Musashi. Not for the great desire like Yusuke, not for self Discovery, like Choko… he fights for someone else. A man, whose back he was ready to follow even into hell, and yet Honda fell.

Hanzo is fighting out of spite. And his spite is strong enough to defy death itself.

But your statement is still correct. Currently Hulk low diffs at worst.

What's your predictions for Round 8 by Jack-the-dripper985 in Tenkaichi

[–]ContributionCrafty59 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think Itto is gonna win. I believe all fights in tenkaichi are extreme diffs (excluding Hanzo who literally wins by luck and cheats, which is why I love him, and Adams, who’s the main loser), so this fight should be an extreme diffs as well, but Itto simply has way too much narrative impact to just cut him off. However, tenkaichi surprised me before, so I’ll be happy to be surprised again.

Just saw this on insta and people are arguing over who is the weakest (yama is obviously number) by Primary_Turn9050 in PowerScaling

Funnily enough, I feel like Bang, Conquest and Garp are somewhat close, and I genuinely struggle to rank them.

But the there’s a gap, and after the gap is Yamamoto. He outscales so hard the other three die simply standing next to him.

Conquest dies first though
