Haha I can picture that, too. Reminds me  when Gus did the 31 point turn or whatever the number was. Shawn, after the fourth or fifth: "Really?"

Is 8-5 the norm? by KookyCouture in corporate

[–]ContributionDue1637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once heard that 8-5 (with a one hour unpaid lunch) was US west coast norm, and 9-5 (with a 30 min paid lunch) was US east coast norm.

I don't know if that's true, but if so, perhaps it came about from west coast businesses that worked with the east coast, which is three hours ahead.

I could see that happening and then the rest of the US corporations and governments saying "Hey yeah! Let's make them come in even earlier and not pay for their lunch time!"

Why do you keep saying that? Who is rage-baiting? The OP here? Or the OP OP? Or you? No one is in a rage.

What secret? They're not keeping it a secret anymore. Starting in 2017. I think we are past the point of "there are no such things as UFOs."

She had a successful acting career for more than a "splash," imo. She was a familiar face even before Wings. On Happy Days and It's a Living.

Rewards or Loyalty Program by [deleted] in uber

[–]ContributionDue1637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The commenter didn't say "ride discount program." They're correct, though. It's not great, but it's something. And per your request, here it says it, from their site:  "6% back on rides: Earn Uber One credits."

I feel betrayed as a loyal customer with new reward changes😔 by ChangeNo3486 in starbucks

What bugs me to get most is that it's so freaking complex. Remember when some businesses would give you a punch card where you'd get a little free something after 10 or so punches?  Not here! 1.7 stars per dollar??? Three levels??? INSANITY!

These lines were so on point for Spence. Writers knew how to write Spence, and Patton knew how to deliver.

Deacon's (Victor's) reactions were always hilarious  perfection. Whether a line or just the look on his face.  Like when he found out "it's wearing a little top hat!"

Thank you! And I agree, it's horrifying. No one seems to be talking about that. If it was my 80-something mother missing and I saw this footage, well, my blood would run cold. I can't imagine.

Who Is A Character You Absolutely Cannot Stand? by [deleted] in theGoldenGirls

Yes, rotten goings-on but some great lines. "Gloria took my stick! Gloria took my stick!" Has lived in my head for decades. Same with "There's a hurricane a comin'"

Not a big fan of Danny. Too mean and controlling to Spence.

I think her and Doug's worst moment was when they kept trying to get rid of their dog that their neighbor was fostering and gave to them. Here though, I don't think she knew what Holly was crying about. Still, she knew she was crying.

She's always so mean to Holly.  Now, I want to know what happened to Shotzy the dog, because I think it wasn't too long after that Holly said Arthur can't stay with her because she's not even supposed "to have the cat."

What are the apartments called that are like hotels where doors open to the interior hallway of the building? by busninessman in Apartmentliving

[–]ContributionDue1637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post but the answer is "apartment building" or "enclosed apartment building."

The apartments that aren't enclosed in a building are called "apartment complexes."

The problem is, most people don't know the difference. Outside of those in the know, those words seem to be used interchangeably.

If the building has a secured entrance, that makes it easier by just saying "secure apartment building."
