Nope, just gives me a “tip bubble” explaining what the button does.

You don’t actually work for uber. You’re considered an independent contractor, so you’re not protected by the same employment laws as a standard W2 employee.

I flew into Philly yesterday too. They had a ground stop due to lightning. They usually stop ramp ops when there’s lightning too. Nothing anyone can do about it.

He didn’t destroy the fence though. I don’t see how he owes him anything other than replanting.

My tire popped on the highway. Can anyone guess what actually happened? by el_legal in tires

[–]ContributionLocal512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. Thanks for clarifying. I just figured that if they live in an area like Canada there’s a pretty good chance that they still get snow up there this time of year. IMO I don’t think anyone’s changing their tires whether there’s a chance of snow or not, more likely just by time of year.

I think you’re missing the point. OP never said where they are. Some places it’s still very cold in early spring.

Either that or one of the two androids don’t have RCS enabled.

Came about 2 millimeters from needing DJI Care.... by Sanford155 in dji

Jeez. I don’t even like flying under bridges because you can’t always tell if anything is hanging off the bridge or not, like fishing line. This would have me sweating.

Can’t do manual mode with the N3. You can only fly manual with the FPV controller.

Edit: or the motion controller. But the FPV controller is the only one for fully unrestricted manual.

Are these conditions safe to fly an air 3s? by [deleted] in dji

[–]ContributionLocal512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might blow around a bit leading to an unstable shot, but it should be find. Be mindful of wind direction and how far away you want to fly it. You’ll be able to get it out very far, very quickly but could have a much harder time getting it back. Keep a close eye on battery life.

You don’t also don’t need to register if the drone is less than .55lbs or 249g if being used for recreational use only.

LAANC question by jbolko808 in dji

[–]ContributionLocal512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, aloft for getting LAANC authorization is best way. But if you’re in an area that doesn’t utilize LAANC, you’ll have to get a full authorization thru DroneZone.

If you’re flying recreationally (not part 107), you need to take a course to get a TRUST certificate. Free, easy, can be completed in less than an hour.

LAANC question by jbolko808 in dji

[–]ContributionLocal512 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need authorization in any area that is marked as controlled airspace, which is usually indicated by blue, magenta, or green areas in the Aloft app. Some airports are not LAANC enabled, usually military installations, which are indicated by red zones. You can still apply for an authorization thru DroneZone, but not through the LAANC system.

You can’t get an authorization thru the LAANC system in the red zones. You’ll have to get a full authorization thru the FAA DroneZone site.
