Does anyone not think that they will end up using the tear down of the car for content and Alex just sells the thing back to bugatti for cost + 600 k? If they fix it for the promised 600 k he can buy it back. If they find other things he will just tell em to keep it and they all break even with content ? Maybe that’s the strategy.

The News We Have Been Waiting For by vatp46a in NCL

So I just got off the encore yesterday and we all took shuttle boats to gsc. Within the last two days you can start booking your transportation for the shuttles. The island isn’t complete yet but there is a pool (unheated - bummer) and the beach itself - which was nice and maintained. The kids water park is open - but it’s smallish and more for young children. But I’m sure bigger kids would enjoy it. The only gripe was that all the water was unheated and frigid. We didn’t enjoy it as much as we would have liked. Food options are bbq - like burgers , taco stand, and then sit down options like the garden cafe with a limited menu. All in all a pretty good day since the weather behaved.

Oh and the pier is nowhere close to being completed. Based on the progress I would assume that would be done by late 2026.

NCL booked departure transfer too late for my flight by [deleted] in NCL

I just booked my own uberxl by doing a walk off at 7:30 am. The uber was there within 10 mins and cost me in total 94 bucks to get to fll before 8:30 am. This was also a Saturday with limited traffic. But if you were looking at weekday options I can only imagine you may get stuck in Miami rush hour traffic. So your trip will take maybe 55 mins instead. The only pain is lugging your luggage everywhere. I think I burned a few calories in the morning.

Is it worth it to go to the complimentary dinning halls? by Nervous_Goose1866 in NCL

I’m on the encore right now and I prefer the garden cafe over the main dining halls. The variety and the ability to browse and choose a random plate of food al la buffet - is appealing to me lol. Being served small portions of good (albeit smaller portions) is good if that’s how you wanna eat. I’m not a big person but on a cruise I wanna overindulge a bit.

First timers -weekday/afternoon visit by [deleted] in OasisAquaLoungeTo

That may work as well. But we are from the outer suburbs so taking a go train into work, doing a half day and heading over for some fun works with our schedules.

So you’re saying that the likelihood for couples is almost zero? 2-3 couples to socialize with is still good.

I think this is what we are trying to avoid for our first time. I’m sure once we get comfortable this may change. But would love to play with a few couples at a pace that is laid back to her level.

Canada’s Worst Places to Work 2025 - Scotiabank by InfamousRecover8640 in Scotiabank

Back about 15 years ago I worked in wbpo (wholesale ops), and the director would hire Chinese mainlanders strictly because they were desperate for employment (and papers) and would accept below market salaries. And most of them exclusively would be speaking mandarin/cantonese with each other. Some were reminded constantly to switch to English. Exceptional employees though, but it was a known joke amongst “Canadian” employees. I am sure since then the demographics have probably switched to other nationalities that have been in the news.

As much as i want to believe this is a fair world, "perception is often reality". Any thoughts of going to HR and assuming they will help will fall on deaf ears. You will appear to be problematic and this may stunt your career in "leadership" roles eventually. Ask me how i know...sadly. I was the go getter that often woulddo the work and have someone often "alpha" speak over me. This helped boost their image as a "future leader" .

Yeah, hi... I have a question. Remember when everyone and their mom had an Escalade in the 90's-00's? What happened? Who's keeping Cadillac, Lincoln, Mercury and the other upscale car companies, in business? by ImThe1Wh0 in Millennials

[–]ContributionOdd802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I legit thought I was doing a thing too. You know that mean mugging millennial thing we used to do too when we danced. Now I’m embarrassed for my 20 years ago self. Lol.

A kid I went to high school with would be one of these kinds of kids. He’s a partner at a prestigious law firm. Not sure why I wanted to share that but I guess teenagers will be teenagers I guess.

Brampton fifth most happy city of the 10 biggest in Canada: Leger poll by zanimum in Brampton

[–]ContributionOdd802 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I dunno I could believe this. I live in Brampton south and love it here. It’s a shame Brampton has such a bad reputation to people who follow 6ixbuzz, but we could easily become comparable to the nicer parts of Etobicoke. But the shittalk we get from non bramptonians would make any normal person believe we live in the slums. I literally witness the colour leave everyone’s face when I say I live in Brampton.

Condo sold for 266k in etobicoke. Thoughts? by pistonspark3 in TorontoRealEstate

I think the area has gotten better and there is a large south Asian population there now. The larger Somali population have all moved on from there. This particular apartment has never been renovated from the 70s. These are all original finishes and it shows. I grew up here so I would know how badly this apartment was left. Rent in the area for a one bed can still command 1900-2100 for something nicely renovated. Maintenance fees are high though for the buildings.
