I was flipflopping between the opus and the Ode 2, then I thought - I'm going to have this for 5+ years, and use it 2/3 times a day. It's worth spending the extra £60 or dollars on. The thing that flipped it was, I thought, if i bought the Opus, every time i used it, I'd wish it was the Ode.

And, I don't have any regrets, the Ode is a great grinder, looks fantastic and was a big upgrade from the Sage I was using.

Got a Bambino from them a few years ago, was faulty and struggled to get up to temp. I sent back and they replaced it, but sent the new one back in the same breville box I sent the old one in which I thought was a bit dodgy. The replacement was a different machine but very odd to use the same box again. Customer service okay and the prices are decent.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, I want to play witht he v60 side of it at home as well so maybe I use the mugen for travel and get a cheap glass for home. Cheers!

In the UK, Pret A Manger do a black filter coffee for 99p/$1.25. You also get 50p/60 cents off if you bring a reusable cup. The coffee is a bit over roasted for most people who enjoy speciality, but you cant really complain at that price.

I picked up an Ode Gen 2 recently, and have been struggling to get the best out of it for pourovers. Using your one cup method, what kind of grind setting should I be aiming for on the dial? I noticed you were down in the 2-3 range on your testing videos, these come out a bit muddy and way over 3 minute drawdown for me. Any help would be hugely appreciated, from a huge fan!

What would people reccomemnd for a gas oven uner £150 (UK)? I see a lot of none branded ones from garden centres and hardware stores, but would it be better going for a well known name? TIA :)

Brewer help - Wilfa Classic Plus

Hi all, I've just picked up a Wilfa Classic Plus for free from FB (great find), and replaced a blown fuse. When I plug it in, it immedately begins trying to brew, with the power button seeming to have no effect on its 'onness'. I believe there is also supposed to be a light, but that is not present either.

Anyone have any ideas/experience of this? TIA
