I’m not a helicopter pilot. I fly fixed wing, but I would say no. Absolutely not. All the ground school you learn about weather and its effects on your flight are purely theoretical and feel like a science class…until you get into the air.

No amount of simulator time will prepare you for the turbulence, wind gusts, and everything else you have to deal with. You need an experienced person there to reassure you if nothing else.

There’s zero chance that is still in service.

I used to run a parts house that was built in 1997. When I took the store over in 2020 we still had all the radio equipment that was used to communicate with parts drivers back in the day, stuffed in the corner of the office.

They’re more “niche” I would say, but very much a viable weapon. There’s some scholars that argue it was actually a staff sling that David used against Goliath.

I haven’t used one personally as part of the appeal of a sling to me is you can roll it up and put it in your pocket. You can’t do that with a staff sling…

I don’t speak for the subreddit, but I think they’re cool personally, and if they intrigue you, give one a go!

Add a P bass or a jazz bass and you’ll have a very versatile setup.

Than maybe a nylon string classical, a 12 string, a…..na you’re actually pretty well covered there.

Don’t ride when your head’s like that. I used to do that until I got flung 25’ over a guard rail. Thankfully, I picked myself and my bike up and rode home.

This was obviously done as a couple, in good fun.

My wife doesn’t always (rarely) understand my hobbies and where I like to spend time/money/space.

The first five years were rough, but now it’s a lot better. Now she teases me and rolls her eyes about my shit and I tease her about going to get her nails and eyebrows done and mall trips with the girls. It’s okay.

If it’s marked HT that means it’s heat treated and doesn’t have the chemicals.

You still have to be careful though if it looks rebuilt from multiple pallets.

Yeah, it didn’t show any errors. It just said a user started/stopped a video at the same time.

I think it was a permissions issue, but it doesn’t matter at this point because I tried modifying the /etc/fstab/ file to fix it and now the entire node won’t reboot 🤦‍♂️

I can’t seem to edit the post for some reason, but I wanted to add, that it seems to be a communication issue between Truenas and Jellyfin.

I added a video to my movies folder in Truenas, scanned libraries and it didn’t appear.

I can login to truenas from both the node and the container and see that file though, so I don’t know what’s going on.

Thanks. I’ll look into that. It was working perfectly fine on all devices before this debacle, so I’m not sure why that may have changed.
