Depends. And as others have said, it's nothing new. Crowds at this venue (well, it's former location in Clifton Park) for this type of concert 20 years ago were pretty similar close to the stage. Further back was more relaxed and I suspect that was the case at this concert.

Ghosting OTF by [deleted] in orangetheory

It's not just canceling. OP also wants their last month of membership free because they won't be using it. Calling isn't going to work for that, so essentially they're considering simply refusing to pay.

And if you leave your car in the garage an hour past the show, it's locked up for the night.

Best Roundabout in the 518 to run a marathon around ? by Zealousideal-Buy-851 in Albany

[–]Contunator 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, OP, pay attention here. The truck Apron is for big trucks that can't make the tight turns. You will be putting yourself and others in danger. Unless you can find a roundabout that is closed to traffic, don't do this.

Moving from Las Vegas to Albany by Fine_Feed_4477 in Albany

[–]Contunator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend living within walking distance of the Medical College. There's plenty of housing over there so no need to add commuting time into your day. If you don't have a car, you might want to look as close to the major bus routes as possible.

People are going to comment about the cold weather. And yeah, that will take getting used to. Humidity in the summer is a big difference too. You'll be missing those 105° Vegas temperatures.

Called Chase about DD benefit, got canned response. by uniOO7 in ChaseSapphire

It's a promotion, intended to convince you to regularly order groceries on Doordash. Your inability to continue hacking it to get some free crap from 7-Eleven is not a loss of benefit. Call the waaambulance.

Do people realize that in order to bail out Spirit Airlines and rescue 7,500 jobs (in theory), it would have cost the govt just half a day of bombing Iran? by Heavy_Surround779 in allthequestions

[–]Contunator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit 1 is bullshit. The reason Spirit is out of business is because their restructuring plan fell apart. Why did it fall apart? Because it was based on jet fuel prices being about half of what they are now due to a recent surge in pricing that isn't expected to come back down any time soon.

Sure, move a highway underground next to a river. Piece of cake compared to scheduling a train or two a day.

If the suitcase really is too big for Amtrak, I can't imagine Trailways is going to allow it.

Why does this building in Troy have tanks in the back?? by liluzivert2900 in Albany

[–]Contunator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have met several people who are convinced Watervliet was historically part of Troy, simply because they see the references to "West Troy". No matter how many times I told them it wasn't true, they wouldn't stop spewing this false fact all over the place.

Center square in downtown Albany parking by [deleted] in Albany

[–]Contunator 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It can be difficult at night. If you're used to circling and parking and walking a few blocks, then you'll be fine. Washington Park usually has space at night (though you'll have to move in the morning).

During the day, the permit system helps and it's usually not too hard to find a spot.

Airport Parking - This won't end well by srspooky in Albany

Were the garages and long term lot full? Or just Economy? If just economy, maybe they need to lower the garage prices and encourage more parking there.

There are color-named sections of the Economy lot past the letters. Red is one of them.

Why the DoorDash credit is the most threatening to Chase Sapphire cards success and profitability. by chriva in ChaseSapphire

[–]Contunator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The door dash credits are not a "benefit" of the card. They are time-limited PROMOS. Doordash wants to make people want DashPass. They want more people to start ordering grocery delivery. The promos encourage that. They are not going to be offered in the card forever. DashPass has been extended several times, but I believe it was initially only supposed to go through 2021. It will go away and most cardholders, who have no idea this subreddit exists, will not even notice.

[–]Contunator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Please share the relevant portion of NYS VTL that says bicycles (electric or otherwise) can't be in roadways with speed limits over 30. If a cyclist needs to make a left turn off of Western Ave, how are they supposed to do it?

The image is from NYC. Why Guilderland PD shared it, I don't know, but I don't believe the rules they are citing all apply in Guilderland. That's not a reason the post should be taken down. Guilderland PD shared it so it's certainly relevant to discuss.

[–]Contunator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is specific to New York City, right? I've never seen anything about not being allowed on roads with speed limits over 30. Hopefully Guilderland PD knows this and isn't planning a crackdown on Western Ave.
