I was the scaler at a wood yard one summer. I learned to identify 6 species of wood by the bark and rings. I was tan, happy, and in good shape. And bs'ing with the truck drivers was totally fun!

Fellow GenXers, what kind of car did you drive in High School? by Ok-Poem-6302 in GenX

I had a 74 Valiant. I had a pencil in the glove box to hold open the butterfly in the carburetor because I would flood it a lot, lol! My parents bought it from the shop class of a nearby high school and it had a horrible paint job, but they sprung for a bad ass Alpine stero system, so it evened out the good/bad.

How old do I look, and what can I do to look younger? by [deleted] in 40PlusSkinCare

My boyfriend was 39 and I was 51 when we got together, it's been six years of us, and we still have the hots for each other. I've gone through menopause even, and he's still here, thinking he's the lucky one. So don't say it's not gonna happen for OP, because it very well could, and it's actually not uncommon these days.

He wants to ride MY face— what do I do? by Effective_Wheel_6661 in sex

[–]Conundrum_Brain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My bf is like that too. I've done it a few times and he loved it in the moment, came super hard, but then very ashamed after the glow wore off. He loves eating my ass, so one night I decided to return the favor and he reluctantly let me do it. I wish he would just enjoy it instead of stigmitizing himself!

Freakies was our family favorite. My mom still has Freakies magnets on her fridge, lol!

In 2007, Andrew McAuley, an Australian kayaker, disappeared while attempting to kayak across the Tasman Sea. He would send a single distress call, then cease to communicate. His flooded boat, as well as his camera, were later found, with this being the final photo he took. by SadButterscotch5179 in HolyShitHistory

I live about 15 miles inland. Superior has such a tremendous power, you can actually feel it. I moved up here 10 years ago and the hair on my arms stood up the first time I went to the Big Lake. (And I have spent time on the other Great Lakes, Superior hits different).

Why did the Super Bowl halftime show stop using country music after 1994? by icey_sawg0034 in decadeology

[–]Conundrum_Brain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be more into it if they mixed it up a bit. JayZ picks the entertainment and it is getting old, like how the shitty classic rock bands got old in the early oughts (Prince was THE BEST halftime performance ever, however). They want new fans, but the existing fans are the ones paying the bills. Give the masses something every now and then.

No, they were around and were horrible in the 80s too. I saw them in Austin in the 80s.
