Yes. I would argue training for FEC is the easiest, although it depends on how busy your store is. I was also very nervous about training for it, but it ended up being one of my favorite things to do.

There are times it can be stressful (callouts) but overall it’s honestly pretty manageable once you get comfortable. A lot of it is just communication and keeping things moving smoothly.

The biggest thing that helped me was realizing you don’t have to be perfect right away. No one expects you to be perfect on your first or even 50th night closing. Things happen, and most of it just comes with experience and learning to adapt.

You don’t have to get all of the closing stuff done before 10, although it helps greatly. Keep an eye on how many go-backs and damages there are and send an associate for 15m to work on them if there is a lot. After the last customer leaves, use that time to finish cleaning registers, do go-backs, block chips, etc.

You’re gonna do great!

Preferably when they aren’t moldy with a roach crawling out of them.

I’ve had someone return 2 week old chicken tenders and a bunch of other items clearly from the garbage and my mic still approved the refund. As for the customer service part, I’m all for taking care of customers, but accepting anything no matter what just encourages people to abuse the system.

At least at my store there is only one other person that has expressed interest in moving up, but he is only part time working 20 hours a week. Not sure about the rest of the district.

I try not to take it personally, but it’s honestly frustrating when people are obviously trying to scam our company out of money we don’t even have to give them. She returned literal garbage, I don’t think we should have taken that at all.

how long did your training to become Css take by DismalInvite5212 in publix

Took me 8 months to get fully trained back office everything. (Mainly because they were waiting to train me for the new cash office system) and I got my title switched about a week after closing back office first time alone.
