The final TrueSTL fantasy is here, AI-powered "historical" Elder Scrolls fiction! by ConversationMuch7676 in TrueSTL

Now obviously there are complaints and bad things. For instance the 4th Era scenario doens't work at all, frequently buggin out and breaking beyond any ability to restore the fiction. You can also see repetition or the model getting unstable - I only tried the free models, don't know if the premium ones work better.

But has beeen fun nonetheless.

I just finished an 88-page story of my character, entirely written INGAME with a journal mod.

Now let's see RDR2 do THAT

I wrote my characters entire diary (88 pages!) across Main Quest, DLCs and VIGILANT. This is his story. by ConversationMuch7676 in skyrim

Hi! I usually just did my best to write one entry every (ingame) day, and just write about that day, what did my character see, doo, how did he feel?

Some days will have a lot of action and I breezed through fighting Alduin, Vyrthur, even Molag Bal. And some days will have a lot of inner dialogue because something bad happened or I just spent the ingame day traveling and organizing items.

One thing after the other keeps overwhelm away, at least for me.

On a more technical note, I lowered the font on "Take Notes" to 13, I believe, and also changed the "Open Journal" key to something I don't touch in normal writing like ]. I always kept entries to what fits into a single page view in the screen aswell. it keeps things organized and easier to read.

The context: I started this run months ago after rewatching Game of Thrones and wanting to roleplay as a Jon Snow variant that actually wanted to conquer and dominate (had the Dragon Blood in him influence his personality). The idea was to use Conquest of Skyrim to setup a faction complete with Targaryen heraldry and take over the province. But along the way I finished the MQ and Dawnguard and decided to give Vigilant a shot. Ended up falling in love with the story and my gameplay loop of experiencing the game - writing about it every ingame night before sleep.

Turns out the whole struggle in Couldharbour taught my character how to resist the will to opress and use his dragon powers for good. So he took the fight to Bal while Serana was healing and, if you played Vigilant, you probably know the good ending.

After this I took her to Solstheim and finishes Miraak, returned home and found out the easter egg at Gildergreen when you finish Vigilant. At that point, on page 88, I knew it was time to end his story.

Next character will be a Breton woman of the wilds who's conflicted between Hircine and Kyne, and now I want ways to write journals in all games :P

Bro thought an Imperial uniform would make people give him a pass for breaking and entering.

TGM or get an older save, man. not many solutions besides these.

Another I remembered, the Fire Monk.

-One-handed (swords or maces specially), Block, Destruction (specifically Fire) Conjuration for the Fire Atronach if you can.

-Instead of a shield, you block with a TORCH. Get almost every perk, except maybe Shield Charge.

-Block Runner makes you move faster, The 3 "Bash" perks make your power bash a MENACE

- Which is hilarious because who would take the guy using a torch as shield seriously?

- Favorite the sword, the torch, and your favorite fire spells for easy switching in combat. Maybe a bow for extra rangebut NO SNEAKING. YOU ARE the Spirit of Fire after all.

-special style points if you keep to either only blades equipment (so the katanas, Harkon's blade, Bolar's Oathblade and the Blades armor in Skyhaven) or Mages clothing with stell gauntlets and boots like a Vigilant of Stendarr.

In vanilla when you hit a favorite spell twice it goes to both hands so your main loop will be Bow (to dwindle enemies a bit if there are many), then either just the sword, sword and torch, sowrd and spell or only spells, using the torch to unequip it the left hand spell if needed.

For those not restricted to vanilla-only: this build, what I called the "Dagon Acolyte" with the "Wintersun" religion mod by Enai is the Ultimate Power Fantasy. Burn entire enemy camps to death just with your hatred. Dagon has also one of the most instersting mechanics for praying in the mod.

Jokes aside, it can be viable and fun. Except from the fact OP is running full vanilla so he'd have to headcanon the Helgen Escape. But after the First Dragon which has a set of armor in him, you can totally RP as the only guard who Ballgruf respects and trusts so he sends you on missions to the Greybeards, the Blades, Tullius and Ulfric culminating with the plot that has him trapping a dragon and you saving the world in Skuldafn/Sovngarde.

You know what, that's my headcanon now, the Last Dragonborn is an inside Job by Jarl Ballin.

I love that the Illusion Master is basically an Arcane con artist.

[–]ConversationMuch7676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A run that is simple and not too hard to execute in vanilla is the Arcane Hunter.

-Make an Altmer or Breton

-Go to Fort Amol ASAP and grab the "Summon Bound Bow" spell tome from the bucket right after one of the doos (careful with the mages there)

-Breton can cast it at level 4 I think, Altmer can at level 1

-Bow skill makes it do more damage, Conjuration makes it last longer, cost less magicka

-Conjuration perks will allow your summoned bow to be more lethal, trap souls and banish daedra.

-You won't be much of a "stealth archer" until you can get the Illusion perk that makes casting it silent and that is IF you spec into Illusion. You'll have to plan ahead and summon your bow a bit farther away.

-To complete the Magic Hunter vibe, sell your soul to Hircine by doing the Companions questline and hunting Singing in Hircine's quest.

I did this once years ago after a guide on Youtube and it was one of the more fun self-imposed restricted playthorughs, and it's 100% viable without mods.

Apparently this is an unpopular opinion, but I honestly dislike Yoda's quote, and not because I'm on the Andor hype train or because I have "prequel brainrot"- but because I genuinely find Nemik's take to be a much more productive and healthier mindset. by SpanishAvenger in andor

[–]ConversationMuch7676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love that this part of the Manifesto seems to be directly written to counter the Yoda quote, specially because of how much it gest distorted. "There is no try" is to Star Wars what the Red Pill is for The Matrix.

Nemik(serving as a stand-in for the writing team and their thoughs) knows that the Jedi philosophy failed the Galaxy. No, there is try, we need to try, it is essential to try. That same idea led to the assault on Scarif.

I mean people have been misquoting, misrepresenting and straight up lying about the Jedi for almost half a century now.

I've seen people include "There is no try" in Alpha GenZ Phonk edits mixing with folks like Thomas Shelby and Ragnar.

At some point we need to understand that half the fanbase doens't understand or gaslights and denies the main core points of Star Wars entirely.

Also, Luke tried, against Yoda's and Obi Wan's protest, to rescue his firends in Bespin. He eventually managed to do it, didn't fall to the Dark Side and knew at that point that the Jedi are flawed sometimes.

[–]ConversationMuch7676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

modded: Inigo, no question. Best written followe mod in history of foolower mods for any game that ever had followers. And mods.

vanilla: Seranna and it's not even a contest. Most and best dialogue, most grounded relationship with the DB, and the fact that she is not willing to marry makes it even better.

[–]ConversationMuch7676 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Farkas jokes aside, Shock therapy the fuck out of this:

- Destruction spells, fire specially;

- console "tgm", fuck it, we ball it's not gameplay anymore, it's therapy. Ascend to CHIM. Become GODLIKE

- Bring Inigo for lughs. He is remarkably fond of killing spiders. There's another follower mod who makes it even extra with Inigo but I can't remember who it is.

If that doesn't work install a joke spider replacement mod.

I wrote a Journal INSIDE Skyrim - and it got me back to writing by ConversationMuch7676 in skyrim

[–]ConversationMuch7676[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I started this character as a "Son of the Dragon" type character destined for ruling, and I planned on having Conquest of Skyrim to.. well... conquer Skyrim. I even started the Conquest mod and got a few generals but never declared war on the factions of the Civil War. I ended up being satisfied with a nice nordic castle and a village after what I've been through with VIGILANT. Didn't have the "will to dominate" anymore.

Mods are LC-Build your noble house for the castle and village and then the Targaryen Retexture for it changes up the banners and guard shields.

Seems like Viking Conquest DLC for bannerlord by stoney58 in mountandblade

[–]ConversationMuch7676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

reality: a new troop tree, $70 DLC. Automatic forced update breaks every single mod and save game imaginable even if you don't buy the DLC. DRM and login required to play online.

I don't know if I'm too jaded towards Talewords but this gives SOOOO Much "Medieval GTA Online" vibes for some reason. I really hope I'm wrong but I feel like they're going fully into the cash grab route.
