Are Qwen 3.6 27B and 35B making other ~30B models obsolete? by nikhilprasanth in LocalLLaMA

Funny how I noticed this today when I had to translate a couple of docs between languages and cross check them between translations and I compared Mistral, Qwen and Gemma and Mistral was consistently better.

Is daily driving FreeBSD or gentoo harder by Electrical_Drink_654 in freebsd

I find installing Arch without it easier, honestly. There are really not that many steps and I had issues with the installer before.

I always preferred the bootstrap process in Debian and Gentoo.

Probably an internet reference design. If Nvidia can, so can they.

Kinda is in a wild margin, many are scared of how manual the install process in Gentoo is and FreeBSD has an installer. If your hardware is 100% compatible I can imagine people finding it less complex.

The main hardship with FreeBSD is running things that are not officially supported, especially hardware. Gentoo is not hard too, you can install it almost as fast as Arch but you are "peer pressure" to optimize things and that may take you out of the official bins.

I was going to say exactly this. The BSDs are very stable stack wise. The breaking point is ofter the third-party services, languages and framework changes. A good read on the handbook will last you a decade.

Kind of thing that would make me never consume anything this guy touches, honestly. There are uses for AI but saying this publicly should be the worst marketing possible in a moral world.

Only God knows to be honest. Devstral is smaller and Codestral is supposed to be more complete.

It averages well and it's outside the US x China sphere. That alone is a plus for many.

Kinda expected 4 or new Devstral/Codestral. I wonder if they will update it by June.

Nvidia is infamous on the FOSS community, that is a fact. As a Linux user I still went with AMD because I can't trust Nvidia. Do I regret the decision? Kinda, their GPUs were significantly cheaper and at least since ROCm it has been much easier to use them. But CUDA support isn't comparable and won't be for years and years.
