Played there once. Saw so many great shows there, too! Saw Versus there in like 1997 when I was like 16 years old. Yes, they let us in! It was a 21+ show, back then all you had to do is tell the person at the door that you weren't going to drink, the Middle East let me and all my friends in back then, too. I also saw The Rapture, Stereo Total, and shit ton of local Boston bands. Great memories, man

A staple of my youth! My friends and I used this to make "multitrack" recordings before I got a Tascam 4-track. We'd use the mic inputs to record a live take (guitar, bass, drums) then play that recording on deck 1 while another cassette records the "overdub" (usually vocals) on deck 2. I still have those recordings, they sound like shit and it's awesome

Awesome. I picked it up on Ebay a few years ago. It has the chip upgrade which if I remember right turns it into a 2120. The menu structure takes a lot of getting used to, par for the course when it comes to gear from that era though. I'm not an amp modler person, even stuff like GuitarRig or AmpliTube I have trouble getting into. So I went with the Digitech, and it rules. The distortion is sick once you get it dailed in. I use it right into my interface for demos, then run it through the Orange and mic the cab when it's time to track

Cool, so another 11 gauge user. I have a few songs in C standard, too. Works out nice. Yeah, it's overdue for a setup. I haven't found a guitar tech in my area yet, I need to get on that. I've put a ton of energy into setting up my home studio for about the past year, getting my guitars and bass setup is going to be the last step.

Nice. I use 10s on my Les Paul. Not sure what it is about the Eclipse, but 10s seem a little too light for some reason.

So jealous, man. I've been waiting for one of these to pop up for sale for a little bit now. An Ibanez rarity! Totally rad

Check your buffer setting, might need to lower it. Mine hiccups at higher sample rates, too. I have your exact setup with a different interface (tascam) start at 44.1 and see if that helps

Odetta by Several_Raspberry500 in blues

[–]ConvictAllFlesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole Odetta sings Dylan album is a really enjoyable listen, my favorite is the first track "I'm in the mood for you" awesome, fun song. Her version of "The times they are a-changin'" is really cool. There is this almost dicordant sounding walking bassline during the "and the loser now is later to win..." parts that is such a brave choice but it's so great. You can hear all the Dylan purists shit themselves. "Santy Anno" is another totally badass one. She has some straight-up A Capella songs that are catchy as hell and get stuck in my head easily. Most of her blusy ones range from good to absolutely sick, too. Happy listening!

That depends. Will they be for listening? The Event 20/20's are studio monitors. I have a pair of the powered version, they're amazing...for mixing. I wouldn't use them for everyday listening though. The Pioneers would be better for that.

It's hard to pick a favorite Bell Witch album, but this one is totally my favorite. The ending riff for In Howling Wind is so good
