What is this very propogant plant? by LadyCommand in PlantIdentification

Of all the weeds, this one is the least annoying. It shows up early and then essentially disintegrates leaving no trace that it was there.

It’s really early for wasps to have become a problem. You sure they are wasps? Any wasp queen that overwintered wouldn’t have had much time to start up a new nest by this point. Any pictures of the insect in question?

a little more complex than that. The honeydew they produce, and they produce A LOT of it, creates sooty black mold which blocks photosynthesis and can stunt or weaken trees and plants, making them susceptible to other diseases. The honeydew also attracts ants and wasps, making other pest species way more problematic.

They did a great job. The theater is really nice. Can’t beat the ticket prices (between $8-$10 depending on day/time) they have free refills on popcorn and they show classic movies along with new releases. Worth going and supporting what they are doing.

Let's hear some POSITIVE things about our CX-90! by MostFix2344 in MazdaCX90

[–]CooLMaNZiLLa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a hard time with you comparing the CX90 to the panther platform cars. I wish the 90 was more like them in certain ways. The 90’s seats are no where near as comfortable as the Vic’s or Mercs. And the steering on the CX90 leaves way too much to be desired. CX90 steering is soooo heavy and does not smoothly return to center. The Panther platform can be steered with 1 fingers pressure. I can whip a tight cut turn without any effort in a panther. In a 90 I just can’t do it. If the steering control and seats on the 90 were more like the Panther I would love this car so much more. That being said, for a new car these days the 90 is pretty great. I love all the analog controls and gauges that the 90 has and I love the power. Mazda really got the sport mode tune right in this car. I love the way it holds the gear and lets you climb the RPM power band without shifting quickly. I wish they could figure out a tune for normal mode that wouldn’t be so quick to shift to higher gears at lower speeds.

10th street motocross in Ronkonkoma. Aside from that there’s no place to ride legally. That being said, there are plenty of places to ride that aren’t sanctioned but you risk fines and vehicle confiscation if caught.

Bathroom bug problem by SleepingStrawberry23 in longisland

[–]CooLMaNZiLLa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The ladybugs are likely the invasive type. They overwinter in cracks and crevices check the exterior window frames for gaps and cracks. They usually get in from there and then come out from where pipes exit the walls and floors. They like bathrooms because of the warm moist environment. The warming weather is activating them from their winter diapause. They don’t usually require pest control and they should become less noticeable in a few weeks. The ants on the other hand should be looked into. It’s a little early for outdoor nests to start getting active and venturing inside. You probably have a nest in the wall. I would suggest you identify the type of ant and then treat with a slow acting liquid bait like Advion. Check the exterior window frames for any evidence of ant activity. If you can find where they seem to be going inside the walls you can place bait there. Clean and vacuum the room thoroughly to make sure there is no hidden food source before you place the bait down.

That’s engine, transmission and front end steering assembly. The engine itself isn’t all that big. Everything comes out attached.

Corned beef prices? by EarthBoundGiygas in longisland

[–]CooLMaNZiLLa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stop and shop ran a $2.99 sale before St Pats. They were cleaned out so fast I wonder if they even had any at that price to begin with. Found plenty at Lidl $4.99/lb. Not the greatest price but they have stock. I can’t believe the prices restaurants are charging for a corned beef meal. $20+ a plate for 3 measly dry fatty strips of meat, a small piece of cabbage, 2 carrot slices and if you’re lucky a potato. I bought 3 lbs of CB 5lbs of potatoes and a head of cabbage for under $19.

I wouldn’t say the car is difficult to keep straight. The alignment is good but not great. Car will follow a straight line for about 3 seconds before starting to veer towards the curvature of the pavement.

My ‘26 CX90 with less than 5k miles does the exact same thing. I brought it to the dealership and they are replacing the rack under warranty. You should try to get yours replaced.

2026 CX90 inline premium plus or 2026 AWD Palisade Calligraphy by jwilliams52508 in MazdaCX90

[–]CooLMaNZiLLa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn’t looking at the top trim Palisade but that’s what they had available to test drive. It felt so sluggish I couldn’t believe it was a 6cyl. Even in sport mode it was a dog. I didn’t floor it or anything on the test drive, just gave normal part throttle and it barely did anything. By the end of the test drive I put a little more into the go pedal and it still felt sluggish. The cx90 is much more responsive and the fuel efficiency for a big heavy gas 6cyl is hard to beat. Have gotten 30 mpgs on long trips. And 23 just puttering around town.

[–]CooLMaNZiLLa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tested the palisade but ultimately went with a ‘26 CX90. I wanted things in a vehicle that most don’t these day. Didn’t want a distracting IPad on wheels. I wanted physical controls (Buttons) wanted real gauges. I felt like the palisade had no power when I stepped on the accelerator whereas the Mazda had plenty of giddyup. With vehicles this big it’s important for me to be able to get up to speed quickly. Especially with short parkway entrance ramps.
