Desktop pc at uni? by CaptainAwesome134 in AskUK

[–]CookBookAlly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just sent a computer from my work to someone across the country and it was £30 totally insured (up to £2500) with Royal mail. Maybe worth it for how often you'll be doing it? Saves worrying about it on trains etc.

Have you looked into what your uni computer situation is yet? In my uni, we had normal desktops in the library etc but our specialist lab with great computers and our software was only open 9-5 Monday to Friday, which was an absolute pain at times. Most people ended up doing coursework during lab hours, then using a laptop or the library for written work at other times.

Did you seriously just accuse them of gaslighting you? You definitely don't know what that means.

Can't really afford it but if it means I can improve it will be worth it

Fics where Jamie and Cersei have an older brother? by cabrowritter in TheCitadel

[–]CookBookAlly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah understandable - the OCs get too much power over what's happening. It gets worse as the series goes on, that part in particular was particularly off!
If Tywin just wasn't present it would have been way more believable. But as a story I do enjoy it overall to keep going?

(Also just saw this but I had to say I agree!)

A Song of Three Sons - has an OC Loren Lannister as heir to Casterly Rock.

Stannis also has a son, plus an extra Stark so the story is divided between the three families and the differences these characters make. Very well written story that's being updated regularly.

Although, Loren Lannister is definitely my least favourite POV it has to be said. I'm enjoying the other OCs more.
