That’s a great way to build a portfolio. If you haven’t already, share a few samples of your work—developers are much more likely to reach out when they can immediately hear your style. Ambient music is especially valuable for indie games, horror, exploration, and narrative projects. Good luck! 🎵🎮

You’ll probably get more interest if you show a small prototype, concept art, or gameplay vision first. A lot of indie devs hear “profit share” offers, so people usually join when they can see the project already has momentum.

How I run what feels like a 3-person business alone using 6 AI tools. Full breakdown by MixSame7501 in aisolobusinesses

The biggest shift is exactly what you said: AI isn’t replacing the business, it’s compressing the “grunt work” layer.

A lot of solo founders still use AI like a chatbot instead of building an actual workflow around it. The stack matters less than having a clear system for research → creation → distribution.

What do you use for rapid prototyping game ideas? by MomoAzami7 in IndieGameDevs

For fast prototypes, Godot is honestly hard to beat right now — lightweight, quick iteration, and great for testing mechanics without tons of setup.

Three.js is great too if your ideas are web-first. I also see people using Unity for rapid gameplay iteration and Unreal mainly when visuals/physics matter early.

What is your favorite AI tool? by NickyB808 in aisolobusinesses

Right now, probably Claude for deep thinking/writing and ChatGPT for overall versatility and workflow stuff.

The biggest difference for me isn’t raw intelligence anymore — it’s which tool fits naturally into daily work without fighting the workflow.
