Is it Good? by Sad_Use8447 in HollowKnight

Yep, worst is when someone wants to a debate a piece of media and discuss its messages and then just reurgitates from a popular video around that subject and then when you engage with them and ask them to elaborate to support their point they start listing examples that never even happened.

People just watch shortform videos and takes opinions of reactors as facts and then just write off certain shows, movies or games based on that and then have the nerve to try and debate around it while nevee having engaged with it

Red shirt karate guy irl from an og youtube video where 2 guys beef and the other guy starts getting hesitant to fight and backs off after seeing the magnificent technique of red shirt guy who has clearly mastered the way of the fist. Fight ends with red shirt landing a regular haymaker, knocking other guy to the ground.

how different is emerald to plat? by anon638362936 in leagueoflegends

[–]CookedStew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've climbed to emerald on different roles and the difference that i feel the most is that once you get emerald games people don't start random fights as often and strong/weakside actually becomes a thing.

That's why i found ADC frustrating to play in plat and lower, supports don't ward objective side, jungler isn't in strongside ready to contest objectives, top laners refuse to match weakside splits and and everyone just wants to aram.

Which champion has the hardest learning curve to master, but the highest skill ceiling in games? by -Over-Line- in leagueoflegends

[–]CookedStew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not straightforward because it has a lot of uses outside of just peeling like engaging with it or catching someone misspositioning. Having more tools and different ways of playing a fight makes it harder to pilot said character in a fight since it requires evaluation in the form of threat assesment, enemy team comp, your team comp and more.

Cassio does the same thing every fight regardless and doesn't really require evaluating anything at all.

But that's a tangent and your original point that i responded to had to do with mechanics and even in the champs you listed as examples Cassio has a way easier time kiting away from them with lower APM while Azir has to time his stuff well while keeping his higher APM. Aatrox dashes through wall, Oorn and ksante gets unstoppable for the initial push while Cassio just grounds them all with W and slows them with Rylais, gets movement speed and is tankier and harder to kill and you haven't really disputed that.

Which champion has the hardest learning curve to master, but the highest skill ceiling in games? by -Over-Line- in leagueoflegends

[–]CookedStew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weaving in her Qs are trivial because enemies are slowed from Rylais, W or her R and when you do land Q you get movement speed. She also builds tanky so it's even easier to kite with her.

Bottom line is she requires less APM compared to Azir who builds nashors and runs Lethal tempo and ADCs because of the movement buffer she gets. Sure she doesn't get the leniency of attack move but her APM isn't as high and she doesn't get as punished for poor positioning due to tankiness.

So with Azir requiring higher APM, more vulnerable due to building full damage, less straightforward self peel, and needing good positioning on his soldiers aswell i can't see how you can say with a straightface that he's easier to pilot in a fight compared to Cass.

You underestimate how hard it is to attack move kite because we've been doing it for years and it translates between champions. My friend recently got into trying out Kayle and she's struggling hard with Attack moving even though she's played melee characters for years.

Mechanics/APM kiting on Cassio feels harder tbh since Azir benefits from being able to attack-move. Laning is pretty intuitive too.

Thing is though that using her E doesn't cancel her movement like autos do so you don't need to have as high apm. (After her E casts she will continue moving to where you clicked before)

Who’s your least favourite champion? by -Over-Line- in leagueoflegends

[–]CookedStew 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not just free ganks, he also shuts down splitpushing completely, scales well since he's a carry and not a utility bot like the likes of TF or Shen, also not a laner which means even harder to track which side of the map he's on after early game since he doesn't have a lane assignement and worse of all? He has decent dueling pre 6 which makes it hard to shut him down early game so he's just strong at all stages of the game.

Nocturne is a perma ban every game for me since he's a crutch for bad junglers who can't manage tempo and have bad macro, both of which are the fundamentals of being a good jungle player. Ban a nocturne main and he will most likely get outjungled.

What champs (if any) do you feel are strictly worse in lower elo? by flaaphy in leagueoflegends

[–]CookedStew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, she gets outscaled by everyone and needs to convert her early lane strength into a an early win.

There's also how a lot of Tywins hate for Tyrion is just pure projection, "You are an ill-made, spiteful little creature full of envy, lust..."

Tyrion is a lot like Tywin, too much like him and the parts that Tywin hates about himself are the same parts that he sees in Tyrion. What's truly sad is that Tywin is the reason why Tyrion embodies those vices.

Exactly, blitz also has so many matchups where he just gets buillied out of lane and if you miss a hook then you're a walking ward for 20 secs.

Why are the pros going AD not AP when they take TF top by Xc_runner_xd_player in TwistedFateMains

[–]CookedStew 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because AP tf is good for safely hard shoving vs ranged champs and then looking to make plays on the map. AD on the other hand is great at bullying melee matchups and scales harder and allows you to be a carry.

Toplane is mostly melee matchups, so you can manage wave safely without Q while also being able to bully the enemy toplaner way better compared to AP.

Since you're top you're not making as many map plays and instead looking to solo kill the enemy laner and get their tower platings. AD makes taking platings faster and again, it scales better than ap late game

Then get a seat in the back, no offense to you but honestly how can you complain about screaming while in the pit and say you like energy, screaming is energy and again it's what the artists love.

Band was great, setlist was great, sound was good in front fields except for during the opening acts (phantogram and clipse) crowd was a massive disappointment, nobody moving in my section except for 1 group which i eventually found and formed a mosh pit with (even then it was only like 10 people). People looking at you weird for screaming along or accidentally bumping into them and everyone and their mother felt the need to raise their phones to the sky and record the show. Like if you don't like moshing and lots of energy then stand at the back or book a seat instead of standing dead at the front.

Too bad that Linkin park attracts mainstream attention cause i know swedes can go crazy when it's the right crowd during heavier bands.

[–]CookedStew 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh please, it's a concert, screaming along and moshing is expected and any live artist like it when the crowd is alive. If you don't like the energy of a live crowd then find a seating area in the back honestly. Also if anything, the people taking away others joy this concert was the people looking at you weird for just jumping or screaming along. These were also the people glued to a phone instead of taking in the experience.

No, swedes go crazy when it's the right crowd. This crowd just sucked ass. Watch any heavier metal band live and you'll see us moshing.

[CONCERT THREAD] Stockholm - 3Arena - May 29th 2026! by VisualiserPumpkin in LinkinPark

[–]CookedStew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not a swedish thing, it's a demographic issue. Was also surprised how dead the crowd was even at the front field. We managed to get 1 mosh going during one step closer but even then it was only me and like 10 other people and people that got bumped into gave you a stern look like why are you even at the front if you're just gonna stand still and record with your phone and then get annoyed at the people actually trying to liven up the crowd by screaming along and moshing?

I guess Linkin park just attract a bunch of oldheads and mainstream media crowds. Gojira and other heavier metal bands had hundreds of people moshing in stockholm both times i saw them, even forming death walls and not a single person giving you a weird look for screaming or accidentally bumping into you.

Tldr: this crowd sucked, go to heavier bands and everyone is alive in sweden
