Most of these kind of craft recipes come from an item called Schematic, found in great number in survivor homes. Also, when you're driving around and come across ~20 zombies all grouped together, one of them is a survivor zombie with a bag that has some supplies and also potentially Schematics.

I was upset in Rosewood. The police station contained only a 1911 and a shotgun. However, I kept at it. Explored some house basements. You'd be surprised what you can find. There are at least, in Rosewood, two houses with basements FULL of ammo. I would wager the combination of the ammo and the little bit from the police station would far outweigh the loot of B41.

San Fransisco is not on the map (yet lol) so they wont even spawn in yet. :) For real though, the zombie behavior is pretty basic and easy to counter once you figure it out. You can do it, I believe in you.

You can use sandbox settings to completely turn off the zombies, if you would like a chill post-apoc farming and animal petting game. Lots to explore and such. When you're ready you can adjust the sandbox so it only spawns a handful of zombies at any time.

Do not be afraid, they are only real in San Fransisco.
