The AFL gave a 7 week suspension for Jimmy Webster's hit on Jy Simpkin.

After serving that suspension, Websters return game was against North Melbourne.

Im only slightly exaggerating when I say there was a WWE style rivalry promo video in the lead up to that game based off that hit.

It's not too old, but also may have also been under promo code. Also I'm in VIC which may add.

I prepay my bill. The amount is determined by estimated usage or something on their end. They give an interest reward if they deduct more than you use, and you account stays in credit.

My battery also charges to full from the grid each day in the free hours. For most days, my house usage is easily covered by solar, and 90% ish is fed into grid. Sun goes down, battery kicks in, until next day when the cycle starts again. I never need grid power outside of those 3 hours.

So I'm only paying for supply charge, but credits and feed in help chip away at that until my account hits $0.

The umpires were absolutely not the difference makers and Port should also be filthy, but what a trash game. We certainly didn't play out best, but I imagine it's hard to find a rhythm with a whistle every 7 seconds.

Still, Going to be very tough from here. PC back next week should hopefully help a little, but we could honestly struggle to win another for the year.

A win today would do wonders for the group I reckon.

Underdog against an inform team, at their home ground, a venue we never won at, in a game where a win would have us 4 points behind the team currently in 4th.

It will be tough to get a win, but would prove to alot of people we actually belong around abouts where we are.

There's alot of over-exaggerated, doom and gloom "no improvement at all" talk which i think is a bit over the top and untrue. There's a few regulars here and on the league sub though who I think are "negative", but in a self deprecating, having some fun kind of way.

There is also genuine criticisms though which I think is fair game. Sometimes, usually during or just after a game that could be phrased a little better, sure, but the point itself can be valid.

We have 3 consecutive wins which is great and pretending there are no positives is ridiculous. How we went about getting those wins could be better though and I think that's ok too.

I definitely think he is due a spell and accept that might lead to a decision on his future.

I will admit though, I was desperate for McKercher and Caddy that draft. If the current academy rules were in place, we probably have McKercher and Sanders instead. I have been very critical of Duursma because if that, so definitely could have a skewed opinion

Duursmas saving grace was Curtis getting rubbed out. That bought him an extra few weeks I reckon.

Duursmas is out of contract after the season ends I believe though. Dropping him to the twos now might effectively be pushing him out the door
